@lordmeisenbach: Hey. I don't work there anymore and I pretty much forgot everything about the API.

I think you are supposed to provide it in the headers of your request under the header "user-agent" You didn't specify what language you're using so that's really as much help as I can give you. But I'm sure The Googles can tell you how to set header values in your HTTP request using whatever language you're using. For command line curl you would send it like this

curl -A "your user agent" giantbomb.com

if that didn't help check with @frobie ?

I don't work there any more but @wcarle does. I'll bet he'd have an answer for you. @frobie too maybe?

@alecgdouglas: @gentlemen_demon: I'm no longer at Giant Bomb so those emails will bounce. AFAIK you don't need to worry about the custom request header stuff. That was so apps would be ready for some stuff I planned to put into production that never happened and likely won't happen.

You still need a custom user agent but you can pick whatever you want. You will need to append the END USER's API key to all video requests. See "Private Scripts" in the OP. You can do an app activation to get/generate the user's API key. There's a post somewhere about how to do that...

For other questions etc. ask @wcarle cause I don't work here. :P

@szlifier: @sofakng: Sorry that's not available yet. Do not reverse engineer and use the m3u8 links we use. That does and will change and could very easily get your users IP banned for malicious access. Public access requires more work on our end. Its something we have to and will do but that's not going to be available until at the very earliest Q1 2017.

@wx0165927473: Sorry I didn't get any emails; could be my name change. Resend to rick@giantbomb.com and I'll take care of it.

It came from the early days of the chat client when I was doing lots of public testing. If someone reported a bug I would probably say "yeah, I suck" and then people would say "edgework sucks!" and off from there. I definitely helped it along...

I could be completely wrong, but didn't edgework start the "edgework sucks" thing and was really the only person who ever said it?

Duh? This will print out '3' immediately (well actually on the next run of the event loop), '3' a second later and '3', two seconds later;

I don't believe you! If you're really the true edgework, what does this javascript code do, and when?
