MSAA seems to cause a lot of problems on my 670. It eats performance (but looks pretty great), but the main issue is that it crashes to desktop after 5-20 minutes of starting.. Been running it fine for five hours now without MSAA, with nVidias FXAA (in the control panel) on instead. I normally dislike FXAAs blurriness, but it's looks fine here.

I am very addicted to a constant information flow and see our time now as a simple transitional period to always on humanity, basically. I'll probably enjoy it, as I can let go of screens and devices and learn to multi task better.

Haven't really been addicted to games though, except perhaps vanilla WoW in high school, since you had to put in ridiculous amounts of time to get anywhere in that game.

Looks good? How? When they showed the Skyrim enviroment I couldn't help but think that it looks like an old, shitty, Skyrim. Expect combat to be sluggish as well (same engine as SWTOR).

Shit will probably still be fucked, but at least we won't die in a horrible nuclear fire due to Mitt Romney declaring jihad a la Bush on everyone and everything. I was extremely nervous to see someone with his intelligence being one of the most powerful men in the world.

Still very, very, very, very, very glad I live in Europe.

Not especially strange poor people are mad at rich people in today's USA, really. Or anywhere for that matter. I really wouldn't liken it to hate because of race etc. It's not jealousy either, it's frustration that's vented toward the wrong people, because they see someone have something they don't and do not understand why they can't have that as well. Sure, many people are idiots and 'entitled' or whatever, but it's not entirely uncommon with people just being pissed off at other people for having any kind of job. It's a shitty world and we fucked ourselves, it will get better.

A nice big step forward I'd say, but yeah, I guess the DEA will just smack it down and be unreasonable about it. I thought the whole idea of the US was to allow states a good measure of freedom.. Judging by California that isn't really the case in this issue. WAR ON DRUGS WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHH

Saggy fries at Five Guys? Really? Best fries I ever ate at a fast food joint. Easy. All the four or so times I've been there (I live like an ocean away from the nearest one) have been excellent. Shake Shack is vastly superior on the burger side though. Easily the best burger I ever had, restaurants and all be damned.

Have not tried In N Out since I've never been on the west coast. Heard their burgers are awesome but their fries are so-so and an aquired taste (animal style or not).

@Tennmuerti: Thanks for all the response and helpful tips. I'm still quite unsure if I'll ever manage to finish the game on classic (55 hours played now, feeling a bit tired of it), but I'll try the plasma rush strategy some time seeing as at least normal is 100% retarded after plasma. I assume classic would at least be much more managble. Also, I was sure of AI having increased chance to crit and hit on classic..? That's still cheating, or weighed dice in that sense...

Finished the game on normal yesterday. Lost two guys, played super agressively for the latter part of the game since it was ridiculous. The game still needs a major balancing overhaul to fix laser not being useless and to make difficulty ramp up. Not that I had much issue with normal all in all, but after plasma you seriously don't have to care. Last room wasn't hard either. I just twoshotted the dude with a sniper.

I still think the game is in dire need of a fifth difficulty level that sits pretty between normal and classic. That would give a challenge to the more normal, not hardcore XCOM fans, gamers like me. And I still stand by the fact that they need to work randomness out of the game. Boring or not, the current design of crits suck ass and is just not good. Your situation should never ever happen. A random diceroll punished you for playing right. That is not good design. Crits should only occur - and frequently to balance it out - in very close quarters combat, flanking, and when a sniper has a height advantage or uses headshot. Random crits through full cover is stupid, however well you play around that specific scenario. I guess it's a matter of taste, but I personally absolutely loathe randomness in games.

Also, I find that much of what you posted relies on you successfully baiting aliens into a prefered situation. I have huge issues with this since the aliens never seem to come after me - they just overwatch or stand in fog. How do I ensure that they follow me? Should I keep a dude in their LoS using hunker down?

I don't know if I said I don't like to restart, if so, I wouldn't play Ironman.. I said I hate losing because of shit feeling fucked. I did restart classic eight times til I gave up.
