At one point I was excited for Quantum Break but the closer we got to release the more my need to play it diminished. But I do have a Xbox One and it is mainly to play exclusive games so I'll pick it up someday when it goes on sale for 20$.

@ntm: Random, I just assumed the first codes were already taken.

The "death" of Adventure games was around the time I got into playing them. Escape From Monkey Island got me started to check out other similar games like Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon. Which then made me go back to check out the games that I missed. Then the Ace Attorney series kept me going till Tell Tale started making adventure games. So I've really only seen part of the timeline so seeing the full picture in these blog posts should be interesting.

Even I didn't know that Spelunker World came out in the US till I noticed it randomly on the store a few weeks ago. Thanks for always putting these posts together @zombiepie and for constantly keeping up with what everyone does in the community. Thumbs up to @marino for getting these posts up every week too.

If anyone hasn't played Okage: The Shadow King before they should. It may just be a run of the mill JRPG but it makes up for the mediocre combat by having a silly storyline to play through.

I'm glad I saw this post now instead of the last possible moment like I did last year. My somewhat unofficial support consisted of playing through Freedom Planet and Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure. If anyone wants to see said content check it out here. I'll be willing to join in again this year but not sure what game I'll be playing yet.

@devoureroftime: I slightly went off on a tangent without saying that this is a great list of upcoming games. No one around here is going to say that Persona 5 doesn't deserve the number one spot.

As for your suggestions I have already played Danganronpa 1 & 2 and loved them. Still need to get around to picking up Ultra Despair Girls at some point. In the case of Zero Escape I always thought that looking up the answers to the puzzles was kinda making me miss out on half the reason people like the series. Oh well story is the real reason I play these games anyway. Now I just need to find some time to start up another playthrough.

Sometimes it's good to just go out and say something like Giant Bomb is rad. Without this awesome site I doubt I would have gotten though some of the bad times I've went through these last 7 years. They even helped me get out of my comfort zone and take a trip to Pax East a few years ago. Without the dumb panel they put on every year I doubt I would have gone.

I do wonder why the Zero Escape series didn't excite me like every other notable adventure/visual novel game that came out around this time. I still want to go back and attempt another playthrough to see if it'll change my mind. Although it might just be because I prefer poking holes in testimonies more than figuring out obscure puzzles.
