Better than I expected. It was more Monty Python than goofy slapstick, and the main story kept me surprised. I do think they went overboard with the expressions and family aspect, however. Still, a decently solid game. 4/5
This was the Best Game I've Ever Played [TM] until System Shock 2 came out. Better than the sequel, IMO.
Very cool game, not at all what I expected. An excellent puzzle game with more than meets the eye. Remember: the cake is a lie! 4/5
Well, I sort of completed this. I got to the end and realized I'd dropped my shepherd's crook artifact somewhere in the world while cleaning out my inventory. I wasn't about to go looking for it, so I stopped there and watched the endgame movies. =P
Buggiest game I've ever played.
I have to say, I enjoyed this game. It's basically a garden sim mixed with a prereq game, and I enjoy both. 4/5
Not as good as the first game, but still entertaining. Some of the new features, like trapping, felt kind of forced. But it's mostly more of the same of the first game. 3/5
Finished after over 180 gameplay hours, and only because I ran out of places to explore. Discovered every place on the map, found most unique weapons, and even got all 20 bobbleheads. If only there was more world to explore, I would have kept playing. Best game I've ever played. 10/10
A worthy spiritual successor to the System Shock series, and al all-round great game. I finished it on hard on the PC, but in the days before XBox Live for Windows, and finished it on normal on the XBox.
9/10
Finished the arcade version after dumping about $20 of quarters into it.
This was a good game, but I don't understand the 5 star reviews and game of the year awards. It wasn't THAT good. I didn't get 100% because I missed a pigeon somewhere and I wasn't going through all of them again to find it. I also hit the bug where I never got the Stevie car missions. 8/10
Hands down one of the best games ever made. 10/10
The game that got me hooked on RPGs.
Being an old school metal head, I really enjoyed the land and lore of this game, and the open world style exploration with collectibles was right up my alley. Put Jack Black's sense of humor with that, and how can this game lose? Stagebattles, that's how. I loved most of the game, but down right hated the stage battles. It would have been much better as a standard open world game in the land of metal. 3/5
Fun game, but not as good as the first. The RPG elements were really missed. And they replaced the planet exploration with a surface scanning mining sim? Really? I'd rather have the Mao back. But still, this game is all about the characters. 4/5
Ah, it was good to be back in Rapture again. And while it is unfortunate that you can't see the city again for the first time, the game itself is a worth sequel to the original. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here once again. 5/5
Much better game than the haters would lead you to believe. This is a good old school RPG. Despite one of the main features of the game being the ability to turn into a dragon however, that's actually the weaker part of the gameplay. The standard questing/killing/looting is pretty solid though, and the story is interesting. 4/5
Another decent old school RPG, very much in the vein of the Gothic series. I was rather disappointed in the ending, particularly the boss fight, but the gameplay overall was pretty solid. 3/5
My first foray into the world of Tomb Raider, and it was a decent one. I liked the strategy and dexterity of getting from point A to point B. I thought the combat was a bit tacked on, and overall the game would have been better without it. But still, and overall decent game. Can't go wrong staring at Lara Croft's backside in a bikini the whole game. 3/5
An absolutely incredible game, and one of the best open worlds I've seen. Rockstar did not disappoint in the least. They made riding around hunting animals fun. Easily one of the best games I've played. 5/5
Decent, but Fable 2 was better. Games these days seem to be ripping out all the RPG elements -- and that's not for the better. Not even a health bar this time. UI in this game was a grand failed experiment. 3/5
