Man, seeing the amount of upcoming premium stuff makes not having a premium subscription look so shitty. The day they come up with a regularly scheduled free live show (that isn't just two dudes just talking to each other) is the day I resubscribe (mine was supposed to have run out a few days ago).

Jesus Christ, Giant Bomb. Are the meetings you guys go to forcing you to do nothing but premium live streams?

the day they make a free show is the day you start paying? wtf is wrong with your brain?? that'll show Giant Bomb. keep holding your money hostage...i guess?

I know what these motherfuckers are capable of, that much should be known considering I have a subscription still active for whatever reason. What passes me by is how do people, people who just happen across their content on YouTube or some person who hears of Giant Bomb on the radio first (somehow), who don't know what can happen on a live stream, which I think are their best pieces of entertainment in how unhinged and unlike the rest of their output can be, what's going to push them over the edge and not make them seem like people who just pick up a game for the first time and stumble over it, and never come back?

With how little chance that a playing-video-games live stream will be uploaded to YouTube for archive purposes, why not make another one of those chances be something from a live show? Out of the few comments I've seen on YouTube when the video player here is being busted as fuck, they're calling out these guys on being immensely inept and jaded as fuck for a feature called a "Quick Look." It is called a "Quick" look after all, so you just have to hope that these guys can pull through and pull some random guy in with something even remotely entertaining. That ArmA III Quick Look took awhile for it to be finally entertaining, but if it were anyone else who didn't know who Giant Bomb is, they would have shut it down in a heartbeat because it was immensely boring for 75% of length or so.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'll drop money for these guys soon. Ain't no rjayb89 Giant Bomb shutdown here, I love these guys. These guys are the only people who output anything worth entertaining here on the video game side, but I do worry for them. And from the other side, this site can seem pretty by-the-numbers, but I know what they're capable of.

I've seen it.

@rjayb89: Isn't the point to have good subscriber content so people give them money?

Look, I'm not asking for more premium stuff - that's great that they're doing that, and so much of it. What I'm asking for is a regular live show that makes their live stuff worth it from the other side, and I am not seeing it at all.

I guess a Big Live Live Show Live would have been the perfect thing to sway users who haven't jumped the loop yet, but that didn't happen and I understand why. But now nearly everything live is premium now, from looking at today's upcoming box especially, and with the absence of I Love Mondays and TNT, it's much more noticeable. Obviously it isn't easy to figure out some sort of replacement for either one, but (96%) pure Giant Bomb is nothing but Quick Looks, Bombcast, and the sporadic mailbag videos, and that's free and I'm fine with it for now.

It's just weird looking at the upcoming box at this moment so packed with live premium content planned, and near-absolutely nothing for free members.

No.

This is great news.

@rjayb89: Man, don't you know Low Winter Sun's going to take them to a new level of TV-Network Goodness?

Maybe I'll check that show out in a few years similar to how I got into Breaking Bad by watching like three seasons in a very short time frame through Netflix before I was finally caught up.

Until then, it's gonna be weird without Breaking Bad. I guess I should go watch The Wire now, but I've had so many things spoiled for me with that show, I doubt it'll be worth it.

Man, poor AMC. They're gonna be left with just Walking Dead soon.

I've been meaning to play the stocks by saving up a few of the Lester missions just so I can multiply whomever's funds to grab the last few properties I, well, don't need but just want to have. I typically ignore the property requests as I go for my remaining collectibles anyway, so I can't imagine me getting much out of a golf club or theaters when I've only done either activity once or twice for the sake of 100% completion.

But yeah, properties, whatevs.

On the Social Club site, take note of colored sidebars next to images: those actions/missions are what are required for "100%" completion. You don't even have to do all the stunt jumps or collect the nuclear waste, thankfully, just a specific amount is required (25 for stunt jumps, 8 for knife flights, bronze medals for flight school/gun range, etc.). I know I'll end up doing everything eventually, but man, those things are best done over long stretches because I reloaded way too many times to do specific stunt jumps.

I used my turbo controller. The AI had some weird stretches where they could swim/bike faster than me during the swimming and biking portions of the race, but once everyone was on foot I got ahead of the two or three that I felt like were miles ahead of me during the bike part almost immediately, and stayed there and won the race.
