Hope I make the cut. Gonna go pick up ODST after class today.

I got to join yall in a match for the supposed Xbocalypse. Looking to defend the good name of Rob against all naysayers.

Looks awesome. Amazing work. But I agree that she looks too human.
One reason she has the mask (aside from it simply being a design choice) is because Quarians are apparently more vulnerable to sickness in different environments. I'd have incorporated that through a slightly more translucent and fair skin tone, perhaps lighter or a different style of eyes better explaining the tinted face mask, etc.

Aside from that, she could easily have similar features of a human or just a mammal given things like the fact that she is bipedal, she has breasts, jointed limbs, distinct hands, feet, fingers... But considering the distortion of her body, hands, and legs, I'd have gone with a more alien or distorted face as well. Given how different humans are capable of appearing even within the same ethnicity, I'd imagine a bipedal alien similar to a mammal could look quite strange.

I stayed for as long as I could from the beginning to about 6AM Central. They were just getting back into Mech Assault. By that point I kinda figured it probably wasn't going down til AFTER the 15th.
Still, it was a great gesture and great way to send off a classic. You know what they say about the best laid plans, "The best laid plans...something...mice...something"

Anyway, I was ROBC3. The guy Ryan started talking a little shit about after I killed nachoboss twice in a row in the tank around 4:21 into the recorded stream. I just wanted to see at least one warthog or body go flying just like old times, that's all.

I would have preferred to be on the GiantBomb side, but it was still a nice way to cap off my halo 2 experience playing against you guys. I used to play religiously with friends from high school. We actually had a top ranked clan for a while and everything, good times.
On second thought...not really good. It turned into more of a job than a game after a while, and as someone who is normally a fairly casual player I got sick of playing against these hardcore teams. i don't know what I hate more on Live!, these ultra hardcore players that take the game like it's life or death or screeching 15 year olds. Although playing it again I kinda missed those frantic matches.

By the way, I'm not a jerk.  I'm actually a Robert anyway...from a long line of non-jerk Roberts. Robert just sucks as a screen name. I agree though, most other "Robs" I've met have been douche-extraordinaires.

Maybe if/whenever STO shuts down the Space Neon Lobsters will have to send it off in grand fashion. I'd re-up my sub for that.

@SJSchmidt93: Hercules appears literally like 2 minutes into the game...as well as every other God in the game.

Their reviews were spot-on.

Frankly, I don't understand why so many are so quick to give this game a bit more credit than it has earned at this point.

Will it improve? Probably. Is it worthy of the low scores it received at this point? Yep.

Just filled this out.

I imagine there wont be a majority of extremely positive surveys. I hope they actually pay some attention to these.

@ConfusedSanity:  You're on a site created and run by people who critique video games for a living telling people to stop bitching about glaring flaws with a game.

@Jayzilla said:
" i don't trust cryptic enough to buy this game unless it has a great playerbase in 3-4 months. Heck, the MMO genre in general is too big a crapshoot anymore. Gotta wait til they iron all of that stuff out before you buy one, and hopefully the game is strong enough to withstand the player count hit it will take due to issues. "
Not only does it have that hit to worry about, but massive competition from WoW Cataclysm and Star Wars TOR next year.
This constant downtime isn't helping the game's half-assed image.

And people are too quick to write off the issues as "every mmo launch was like this remember WoW or EQ?" yeah...I remember those were ages ago, sort of unprecedented firsts for both companies, and fairly ambitious undertakings as well.
Cryptic should have learned a thing or two from both of them as well as their own Champions Online launch. (Maybe even NCSoft's launches since they are just a knockoff NCSoft anyway).

That bullshit "ITS A NEW MMO LOLS!1 QQ" excuse just doesn't cut it anymore, which is precisely why every one of these random crappy little MMOs that pops up is doomed to mediocrity at best, if not failure.
