This is hilarious. Yesterday was the first time I had the 'privilege' of playing Ripper also. I guess this case has them rattled.

Same here. Does this mean Richard Dawson is still alive? I sure am glad that 38 Studios and THQ San Diego exist, right guys?

@Funzzo: They often can, but it was not the case with L.A. Noire

@Funzzo: The GTAIV port was bad, but then so were the non-Steam ports of L.A. Noire and now Max Payne 3. The Steam versions never had the login issues we are talking about, friend.

@Funzzo: You should probably consider yourself lucky, then. The past three Rockstar games for PC have been kinda busted for lots of people. Non-Steam versions of L.A. Noire are still notoriously difficult to log into because of the Social Club nonsense and it looks like the same story for Max Payne 3. The fact that there's other publishers than Rockstar that pass off bad PC port jobs as acceptable(*cough* THQ *cough*) doesn't make it okay for them to poopoo on their paying fans like this, especially when you consider that these are kinda the exact same problems GTAIV had on PC.

Sounds like you got taken for a ride, friend. Hopefully you didn't give him your address or anything, risky enough already now that he's got your phone number. As for me, I just completely ignore people asking me for money. The only times people have gotten up in my face about it are the times when in out in public with a certain lady friend, who is barely five feet tall and very frail. She *always* gives them the cash out of misplaced sympathy. Blegh. Call me cold, but giving a probable junkie my hard earned cash sounds like it would be doing both parties more harm than good.

Chuck is all serious and is all "GRAHH MAH DAUGHTER NEEDS ZOMBREX" the whole game where Frank West is hilarious and zany. Off the Record is the clear winner there.

I do prefer the original, but that's likely because I played it first and because Off the Record is really just the same game. Keep in mind that Off the Record has more stuff in it though, it's got a whole carnival area missing from the main game.

No problem, duder. Those are pretty sweet specs for a laptop. I'd imagine it's going to weigh a ton, though.

Well, kinda. In Off the Record, you play as wartime photojournalist Frank West in a non-canon version of the original Dead Rising 2 story starring Chuck Greene. Frank is a different type of dude than Chuck and comments on situations pretty differently. Some of the dialogue from other characters is changed a bit, too. Other than that, the story is more or less the same besides the endgame, in which one scene and bossfight is markedly different.
