Well one that messes with your head is Eternal Darkness.  That's more eerie than scary, but still.

The real example of being scared by a game for me is the sound that the fast zombies make in Half Life 2.  Those things always totally freak me out.  It's even worse because I have surround sound and I start running away from them, but the sound is behind me that way.  So creepy!"
I'd never call Half-Life scary, but it has a knack for building tension and suspense. No game series has made me jump quite like Half-Life, and those fast zombies are a great example. I think the last time I was genuinely scared by a game was when I saw my dad fighting The Abomination in the original Tomb Raider game. I was about seven, I think, and that thing gave me nightmares."
Yeah, I know what you mean.  Coincidentally, Half Life 2 Episode 2's ending was one of the few times a game has actually moved me emotionally.  Damn combine adviser.

I am a fairly good student.  Mostly A's and B's.  I have had one C on a report card ever, and that was in AP Calculus.  My SAT score was really awesome too.

I am going to ignore every review on this game.  No matter what people say, I am going to play this game and love it.  Also, I will not review it because I am going to probably think more of it than it deserves :P

I fully agree that games should ditch the bland color schemes so common now.  It simply works better if everything is colorful and has a good amount of contrast.  I find that shooters where you can actually see the enemy, like Team Fortress 2, are way more fun than one where people blend with the environment because everything looks gray and brown.  Also, don't even try to claim that the desaturated look is more realistic.  Look outside and you will see a ton of colors unless it is cloudy of course.  If the lack of color actually has a reason, like portraying a mood, then it's fine, but something like Gears?  There is no reason at all that it can't be more bright and colorful.

I think what it's going to be is that you will take them off the original game's disc for a small fee.
