I own 3 PSP's... one is a 1000 without UMD Drive... (PSP GO! XD) another is a PSP 1000 everything perfect working order and my other one is a PSP 2000 also in working order. My question is the following should I wait around for a PSP Go 2000 (the rumours of the GO with UMD Slot) or buy a 3000... I'm mainly concerned with my PSP's not being able to play the latest games. I'm one of the few people who has CFW and is a legit user. Since Sony kind of killed CFW lately I'm thinking of getting a Legit PSP... I own plenty PSP games so yeah... I just loved the convinience of the PSX emulator it was just freaking awesome to be able to play my game on my PSP then put my PSX disc on the PS3 and load up my save from there... (yes I own all the game i've played on my PSP)

Anyway do you think sony would announce the PSP Go 2000 this E3? or what? I'm wondering what I should do just in case ya know? I don't mind buying a new PSP (I kind of don't want to touch the ones I have) I mean I could just turn one legit but it's too much of a hassle TBH. So another PSP would be nice I'd go with the Go.... but that's just a step back. So.... are there strong rumours or is Sony just gonna push the Go F-word yourself even more?

@Atlas:  Thanks... one question.... Homebrew discussion isn't really reffered to in the FAQs or TOS.... is that allowed? I mean talking about Cave Story for the PSP (homebrew game) would that be allowed or what?

Infected!!- Crap it's not on.... XD

Honestly the Go doesn't have a large selection of games you pretty much have all of the good games. Anyways I'd go with Monster Hunter Freedom Unite it will last you a long ass while.

Yeah it should read it no problem. All PSP can actually read whatever Pro Duo is available (not talking about those Pro Duo HC ones tough), just make sure it's not on ebay since you WILL get a fake card that won't work and get corrupted often.

The PSP 1000 can do it only if you do a physical mod.

Every other PSP can do it just fine... you just need to have the PSP actually on (not in sleep mode or off) for it to bother charging.

I was instead going with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ruling that "it is illegal to circumvent copy-protection to make a back-up of something, even if you own it and do not intend to redistribute it," but that too. :P "

Actually the PSP has no Copyright protection... sony pretty much just assumed it would never be cracked and UMD would only be readable on the PSP so no need to add DRM or anything so that act does not apply to the PSP. but it does apply to the PSN/PSP Go.

" As long as you don't do anything illegal with them, like MattyFTM says. I use one because my UMD drive broke and I don't want to pay to get it fixed, so I install games that I already own to Duo cards. Technically not illegal. "
Actually it is. :P "

Yeah it is because you can't use your UMD Drive to backup your games so in theory you must download them via torrents to be able to get them on your memory card....

Yeah those damn mods shooting down talk of illegal activity so their site doesn't get shut down and/or taken to court; what the hell are they thinking?! Clearly they are members of the Third Reich!  I don't consider myself a member of the morally upstanding police elite task squad (MUPETS, if you will)  but when one's first post is noting that they'd like to talk about flashcards and custom firmware, I can't help but want to make a joke at their (your) expense. Is hitting up an emulation or firmware forum so hard to do? "

Chill.... I just wanted to make sure that I could mention that I have CFW on my PSP withouht fearing being modded or anything. I do go to those dedicated sites. it's just sometimes I forget and mention that my PSP is hacked and I get modded. But the Mods aren't Nazi's because of that, i've been on gamfaqs for 6 years... frankly the mods there are pretty effing incompetent ever since they merged with gamespot. With that being said I'm one of the few people who uses CFW for legit purposes. I own over 474 video games... I'm a huge collector and I just like hacking my portables to be able to have all my games with me at once and no fear of them geting damaged or lost. i'm also here because I made a topic that read like this.

But then I got modded for illegal activities... just because I mentioned using Custom Firmware.... I just want to know where it stands since I couldn't see it in the terms of use and just making sure I don't start off on the bad side of people here.

EDIT: I just want to know how far we can go about talking with them. If I can mention it without getting modded. It wasn't really address in the TOS so I'm just double checking so I don't get on anyone bad side.
