I find it mind-boggling that there are people arguing in these comments that there is something inherently wrong with being progressive.

So I woke up this morning and 6:00 AM because a lady voice said it was time to wake up. I hit some buttons on the Vita, I think? There were lots of bright colors and sounds. I got a trophy. Then I went back to sleep.
Wake Up Club is a hell of a drug.
You're right about farming for loot seemingly pretty uninteresting. Blizzard could have combated this (to an extent, wouldn't do much about the gear just seeming boring) by making the super rare legendary drops, well... legendary. As is, they are routinely blown away by even the tamest loot from Inferno. Hopefully they'll fix it with patches (seems pretty easy, just make legendary gear scale better!), but right now I'm not holding my breath.
It's been available for $80 on amazon off and on all day. Now, it's back in stock, shipped and sold by Amazon. Go, duders!
Unfortunately, that guide won't work anymore (the ME2 Save Editor site has crashed). If it comes back up though, those instructions work great.
Bioware has finally acknowledged that this problem exists (even if their first response was "we had no idea this would happen"... sure), and are looking into it, but it looks like you're boned for now.
@devilzrule27: I'll definitely pour one out for your xbox/Shepard. The best part of this whole affair is once I found and followed those instructions, I extracted (from my ME2 save file) all the values for my character and manually created him in ME3. Got values for each of the sliders and the results were almost identical. I'm sure it's a lot more complicated than I know, but the data's all there...wonder why Bioware couldn't figure out a way to get at it?
