Resident Evil 2's save room constantly made me think that each save room was a hoax and a licker would jump out the moment after my save registered. It is just the best mix of atmosphere and sinister from the series by a country mile.
I'm only up to Stage 9, but thus far I have encountered Pilotwings, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Castlevania nods among this "sticky jump physics" platformer. Plus it is only $2.99 in the 3DS eShop. Also, the soundtrack seems much improved over the original.
I really hope we get a Quick Look over the next week @jeff.
@alex The Club Nintendo website rewards page currently states,"Dozens of downloadable games and a limited quantity of exclusive reward items will be added to the rewards catalog in February."
Just a quick public service announcement so people don't spend their hard-earned coins on doggy postcards.
Understandable. You don't want to get an entire continent of criminals all riled up.
Sometimes I wonder if every decision the Australian government has made since the release of Mad Max is their plan to avoid / bring about that version of the apocalypse.
I'm also confused on these Wii games coming to the Wii-U. Have the been up-converted to play on the Wii-U with the gamepad or pro controller? Or will it go to the Wii menu and you'll be forced to play it with the Wiimote and back down at 480p?
I totally want to buy this and have it on my Wii-U menu and play it on a pro controller. But I'm out if I have to go back to the Wii interface.
It looks like the Pro Controller will never work with these Wii digital releases as it will boot your system in Wii Mode. Bummer. Also, 480p max resolution.
Games that support the Classic controller also support the Pro controller.
The only game on the list of planned releases that does support the Classic controller is Sin and Punishment: Star Successor.
That and Punch Out! if I am not mistaken.
So if these games don't even run in 1080p native then what is the point? If I can get a Wii emulator on my PC that spits out higher rez versions of these games then why would I ever get these lower rez ones? Also this leaves them open to double(triple?) dip on an HD rerelease down the line which seems worse.
The only advantage I have heard about these releases is that you are emulating the Wii games in the normal Wii U OS. That means you have access to your friends list and can use the web browser. Again, these aren't reasons why you would want this version over Dolphin or actually putting a Super Mario Galaxy 2 disc into the Wii U and playing in Wii Mode uprezed.
