There's a distinction between pandering to fans of the series (hey a reference to the character from the novelization of the first game omg) and pandering to baser things (hey boobs, hey blood, hey blood on boobs). A distinction could be made. 2 different pages.

Felt the same way about this and Brothers. Just didn't click. I'm even part of the generation they're pandering to here. Ultimately the experience was me saying "oh that's kinda neat" about 4 times and then the game ends. Brothers not working for me was more an execution problem but I get the appeal more there. But Bioshock Infinite got pegged down mutliple times for these 2 games and though I liked them I will never get how that happened.

I guess my issue is a first person game with almost no gameplay isn't really a revelation now. I thought it was novel with Dear Esther, but since then there have been a lot of them and Gone Home was just one of that lot.

I'm listening to the deliberations for best moment, and I feel like Stanley Parable would have easily taken it if they remembered the REAL best ending. Or maybe none of them even came across it. I was rolling on the god damn floor during this part, and Jeff mentioning the game with the baby makes me think that he must have come across this. Unless he actually pushed that button for four hours.

You only actually do it for 15 minutes I think. But that's what makes this brilliant. I think most people hear '4 hours' and go 'oh well guess that baby burns' then they get fake minecraft and fake portal. It takes a mind like Jeff to be like 'Ima fuckin push this button'. I did like they bothered making whole tilesets just for that joke but that they actually go "no really press this button for 4 hours" is insane and great. I never woulda known myself unless I heard Patrick and Jeff talk about it.

You can't max every stat to twenty. Even advance classes have caps on each stat. Nothing you do changes the max stat, your Chrom is maxed out that's why he's not growing anymore. You might be able to max the characters that turn into animals, I never hit any stat caps with them while they were in that class. Its a good idea to switch them all over to a regular class, max that out, then switch them back to the animal class. But those guys are as close as you get. But you dont really need it anyway, the game never gets hard enough to need that.

Conclusions are hard. A lot of ambitious plots seem to think one big cathartis is enough for you to, at least in the moment, overlook everything they never bothered to find an explanation for and various red herrings. It worked here for me (in the moment and I choose not to parse it out further) , I can totally get other people feeling the opposite. Had the pacing been just a little off or they gave me just a little more time in the moment to marinate in what they're trying to sell, it could have completely not worked for me and then I'd be ranting about it like I've been shitting on the Doctor Who xmas special last couple days. I tend to give games a bigger break on this if I feel like what they're trying to do was worthwhile because I want more games to be ambitious.

The earliest sketches of the Letuces date to 2010 they're not new bias much

Also did you even read the link you gave for antichamber? All it states was Antichamber used to be called Hazard, and back when it was called Hazard it was an arena combat game. Which is a little different from remaking a mod. DOTA2 should be your only gripe, but its not really a gripe because Brad's the only person who doesnt think it sucks. But that was his private list, and TSP made it on plenty of personal lists.

That was something I used to do. But once you start moving around a lot you just dont have the space to be collecting bullshit you dont need. Finances are an issue too. I do have a handful of gamecube games I never played because they were practically free, but I've never been the kind of person who needed to get a 60 dollar game day 1 then just let it collect dust.
