Sure, ME1 is more of an RPG than 2, but in this case more does not mean better. A lot of the RPG mechanics in ME1 felt half baked and shoehorned in to extend the length of the game. I didn't miss any of that stuff in 2.
Steam is a perfect model in which they should follow. Link all games to your account, have multiple systems, no problem, works as long as you use same account id.
You can access your PlayStation Store purchases on any PS3, it just requires some planning ahead since you can only have the content active on two PS3's at a time. If you're already at the limit and want to access your games on a third PS3 you have to deactivate one of the other two systems (done easily through the XMB) before you can access the content on the third PS3. Doing this won't delete the purchased content on the system you deactivated, you just won't be able to access it until you reactivate it.
@bchampnd: I dug the storyline/story progression in KZ2. It was just the story of one infantry squad/platoon making it's way through a battle. It had a good Saving Private Ryan / Band of Brothers vibe.
Unfortunately, most people didn't see it that way, so they bitched endlessly and we ended up with the mess of a plot that was in Killzone 3. Thanks a lot!
Alpha Protocol. I'm really digging it. I like the fact that all of the missions are self contained. It makes it easy to pick the game back up again after not playing for a couple of days.
