Wii still exists and Skyward Sword

Remember that machine that sits somewhere between your PS3 and Xbox 360 (or in my case my PS2 and Xbox 360)? Yeah neither did I until my mom mentioned it last night. That's when i started thinking "What has Wii released lately?", and to my surprise there's actually a few that have been released lately. This being said, I have no interest in any of the games that they released since Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. My Wii may get dusted off soon however for the release of Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword. I've been looking forward to the release of this game since I heard about it's release and I may be willing to purchase a new package of AA batteries just for this game.

I'm really hoping that this game goes above and beyond Twilight Princess and utilizes the available Wii technology that may have been overlooked in the past game. (Don't ask what technology I mean, but I'm sure there's some technology that's been overlooked previously).

This game may cause the renewal of the Wii for longtime Zelda fans and would probably be good for Nintendo (though Nintendo is far from suffering I'm sure [that's just an opinion]). With Xbox and Playstation coming up with the Kinect or the Move, Wii seems to have been pushed to the back of the consoles and is used as a convenient place to store dust.

Here's to a good year of game releases and here's to the potential renewal of Wii.

Fallout 3, a blast from the past

Well hello there fellow game nerds. It's a relief for me to be on a gamer site where I know what I'm talking about. Comic Vines fun but I sound like a noob when I try to blog or make a forum post. Anyway, lets get straight to it shall we. I recently picked up Fallout 3 from the local used game store for $20... wait lets back this story up a little further. About 2 years ago (or however long ago it is when you're reading this) when Fallout 3 was released I rented it. Long story short the vault hated me and I couldn't even escape (such a noob). Now 2 years later, upon the release of New Vegas, I picked up the old one. I've devoted several hours to this game now and am kicking myself for not having enjoyed it when I first tried it... where was I getting with this post... well I don't really think I'm getting anywhere. I just want to say, if you've never tried Fallout 3 or got trapped in the vault and gave up, it's worth taking the time and effort to play. Don't give up, if I can do it anyone can (unless you're not good at shooter games). I thank devoting my summer to Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 to my success in the awesome shooter Fallout 3
