This perfectly competent open-world game gets a heck of a lot more interesting when it throws an endless host of savage, dynamic AI enemies into the mix.
Access Games' episodic follow-up to Deadly Premonition is a tremendously strange trip.
For the first time in the franchise's 15-year history, you can pummel your friends on the go. It comes with some drawbacks, but not enough to get in the way of another chaotic, fun experience.
yay, GBeast content!
I remember actually liking the last one on 360 well enough, but being an Xbone exclusive I have to pass. Boogie made it seem like there were some nasty microtransaction things in here though.
After having playing this game for about...75+ hours I will say the loot cave wasn't much of a big deal, but I have found Bungie's decisions about vendors odd. They institute the Queen's Wrath and then make it where you can't even break down legendary rewards for Ascendant materials? They let you trade Glimmer for Strange Coins and then turn around and make it where you can't because "too many people were doing it"? Who cares! There isn't some Destiny economy people can play. Even the loot cave wasn't that big a deal. I did it for 2-3 hours one day and the amount of gear I got was comparable to running a level 24 strike on the playlist for the same amount of time.
I personally feel like Bungie's decision with this short sided game are going to make it where I only come back to check out the new DLC content and then inevitably get disappointed. Like Leigh Alexander said, Destiny isn't really a social game but it does offer the illusion of such.
My most fond demo discs were the Pizza Hut MGS one and the one that came with the PS1, orange disc that had Star Wars: Masters of Teras Kasi, Tomb Raider 2, Tekken 2 (?), and more.
UPF is too sweet.
CAN SOMEONE TOO SWEET ME?
Real talk: this game looks like shit.
The sad thing is playing a new WoW expansion at this point feels slightly obligatory to me. I have put time into the game since the original beta so I feel slightly attached. I originally stopped playing 2 weeks post-Cataclysm launch then came back into it with Mysts and played from December of that year to April...haven't been back.
I really, really liked Wildstar but I think I realized that my love for that style of gameplay had widdled down to nothing. I was literally fall asleep at the keyboard playing. My wife will want this though, so maybe I'll just get her the special edition for our anniversary since we have all the other ones.
I do pretty well at Crucible in Destiny...not sure what the complaints are. You simply have to know your class and play it right. This isn't me shit talking, it just is what it is. The only thing in the multiplayer that's massively OP is the Hunter's Blade Dancer special (faster movement, lock on attack, 1 hit kills, damage mitigation, etc). Besides that, you can get around or deal with the rest. In fact, the only map I think sucks is Bastion on Mars (large, open Mars map) which simply shouldn't be in the Clash playlist. Besides that, everything's cool.
Destiny has no story; it is simply a hodge podge of back of the box synopsis about a handful of topics. That's my biggest gripe about the game as a whole. However, Diablo 3 is the opposite where's there's a plethora of story but its all the most dumb, generic shit Blizzard has ever put out.
Also, hearing Jeff be so negative about Destiny but then admit he doesn't pay attention to playing Diablo 3 and that he continues to play the WWE card game its like... :| OK...cool man.
@lobstervendetta: I've never really cared about Pokemon and I've tried to play about 3-4 different ones to see if I can ever change my mind. I did like the Pokemon trainer though and it allowed me some customization in how I played...I always liked Squirtle though :D Sad to see him go. As much as I have massive amounts of Nintendo nostalgia, I cannot help but feel apathetic to 95% of the SSB roster.
Is Pokemon Trainer not a thing anymore? He was my favorite from the last Smash Bros...
