Adam Sessler is pissed because he works for Revision 3 so it is going to effect Youtube sales.
Also, who gives a shit about reviews for launch games. Most people are just looking to play something just because they have the new hardware. This is all just industry insider complaining because they are apparently getting review copies two days before launch.
This is cynical and negative but I am sure it would only be negative in Arthur Gies' case. He was the only reason I stopped listening to the Rebel FM podcast (that I remember) because of his constant hum drum attitude about everything regarding Sony. I remember him trying to argue that some Sony game at the time didn't really look good "because they are only doing post processing". I literally laughed out loud. I'm not seriously trying to disparage the man, but after hearing that and all of his other consistently anti-Sony remarks I just got bored of it.
I can't have any sympathy for the "old guard" flipping out about this stuff. This is another reason why I am a subscriber and visitor of Giant Bomb as I don't have to worry about this kind of doom and gloom lamenting from its staff. They are supported, mostly, by us so they don't have to be slaves to advertising or getting reviews up before someone else. Revision, Polygon, etc they have Youtube personalities to compete with who are doing the same, or sometimes better, job at reviewing and covering games and situations like this make them shit their pants in fright; it sucks for them but this is the industry changing.
Also, neither of those men are journalists...right? Adam Sessler really only ever reviews games and then has interviews with developers where they just read off PR talking points, right?
