@Goggen240: The theory is that new players not having played the other two wouldn't really know who harbinger was so they decided to introduce a new villain so they wouldn't alienate newcomers to the series.

As fun as I`m sure it is for the outside of EVE to get fascinated by the headlines and the second-hand information about the `craziness` of the game, it`s really, truly, a lot less appealing and fun than it seems. CCP rarely seems either concerned about the fate of most of their players or about making a game that is even remotely fair or competitive. They care more about grabbing headlines than much of anything else, and most of the players on top of the EVE foodchain are strong competitors for `worst group of people in all of video games.`
EVE is a fascinating game, but outsiders build up this image of the game that really has very little in touch with how things really are unless you`ve played along for a long time and you`re in league with the Cool Kids. It`s an incredibly top heavy game that honestly feels like it`s running on fumes at this point. A near or outright majority of players are old timers or secondary accounts, and it`s kind of amazing the game hasn`t had some sort of irreversible exodus so far. The only reason it hasn`t is because CCP as gone so far up the asshole of nullsec and PVP culture that the growth of the game is downright anemic and updates of the game stilted in favor of entrenched interests.
Hell, that inflexibility, forced or not, is probably why they had to do DUST in the first place. The only thing CCP seems capable of doing is indulging their existing longtime player base at the expense of everyone who just wants to play a video game. To expand their audience they basically have to make a completely different style of game.

Jesus Patrick. I have to read a lot of politically correct bullshit at my job, when I come home to plop down and play/read up on some vidya. I want VIDYA ,not this fucking tripe. This "First-World discrimination" issue is the oldest cash grab in the book. Quite frankly, it's at a level so elementary these days that it might as well be up their with sibling rivalries. You want to talk about Discrimination against Women? Look up a friendly little place called SAUDI ARABIA or The Republic of the Congo, THEN we can have that discussion. Until then we need to look around and be thankful that we have what we have, and quit bitching about what we don't. Nothing is perfect, for ANYONE. And it never will be, we need to realize this. Only then will we truly evolve as a society.

I'm about 5 hours into Darksiders and I don't get why Patrick loved it so much. Combat feels like a poor mans god of war and all the ideas in the game are just copied from other games but aren't executed well. It reminds me of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow because that game took existing ideas but adding to them and in some cases done it better than the source material. I will keep playing Darksiders but so far it seems like a 7/10 game, good but not great
It's pretty great, I like that it tells you on the killcam if a player that killed you have premium or not. It's also hilarious to tell scrubs how the tank does double damage for premium players (it don't), and watch them rage out.
