  • @Outerface said: You can earn quite a lot of achievements by just playing offline though, and that's what the whole career business in Waypoint is about. No, actually most of the career stats are for online stuff. Kills, wins, flag captures, that sort of thing. Waypoint adds new achievement-like things for things that aren't currently tied to achievements.  Besides, didn't Microsoft actually say that Silver users would be able to use ...

  • I don't see the point in ejecting discs with the controller. You've gotta walk up to the system to retrieve/switch out the disc anyway... Might as well hit the button while you're there.  I always turn off the system with the controller, though.

  • Normally I avoid "self promotion" in forums that I don't frequent TOO much, but since this is for charity...   I’m sure a ton of you are familiar with charity gaming marathons that have been popular lately, the most prominent of which being the Mario Marathon that has raised thousands of dollars for Child’s Play the past couple of years. They basically run a live stream of themselves playing through ...

  • As someone else said, I might be a bit biased as a Transformers fan who liked the first film a lot, but I was quite pleased with Revenge of the Fallen (some HORRIBLE jokes aside). If you expect to see more than huge robots fighting, you WILL be disappointed. But if you're into Optimus Prime jackin' other bots up, then you'll enjoy the movie, I'd say.

  • This was a frustrating Quick Look in a lot of ways... I would have spent MUCH more time messing with the controls, and I feels as if I'd have made the bounding box about 75% smaller... I think the game looks like a cool Wii shooter overall.

The Fight Continues (WII)
Strictly speaking, there are only two places that you can find an epic adventure featuring Mario, Link, Star Fox, Solid Snake, Sonic the Hedgehog, Samus, and many more all at once. One is the multitudes of often sub-par fan fiction online, and the other is “Super Smash Bros. Brawl” on ...

A Worthy Prequel To FFVII (PSP)
“Final Fantasy VII” obviously wasn’t the first “Final Fantasy” game, and to many people it’s not even the best game in the series, but it’s easily the most popular. So for years, fans of the game have demanded more and more content. The most popular request is a complete remake ...

Not Much Can Ruin These Days (DS)
While the “Advance Wars” (or, more appropriately, the “Wars”) series has been going on for quite some time (20 years in , 7 here in ), it hasn’t changed a whole lot over that time. Sure, new features, units, and gameplay elements have been added with every incarnation, generally making ...

You And I, We Can Fly... Again (WII)
It’s been eleven years since we first saw NiGHTS, the flamboyantly dressed flying jester that many thought would join Sonic the Hedgehog as one of Sega’s most recognized mascots. That first game, NiGHTS: Into Dreams, debuted on the Sega Saturn console in 1996 to commercial and critical success, and fans ...
