- 60$ is a lot of money, they need to lengthen the games (not just add multiplayer) or lower this price.
- They way most retailers treat used games and their cases I'll gladly pony up for the new copy, it also makes me feel good about supporting them.
- Retailers are a problem but in an age where amazon will get me the game to the doorstep day one I hardly notice anymore. Bestbuy/Futureshop are fine too due to the fact that they have enough copies and I can run in and out without being bothered.
- DLC is bad when its on the disc but it can be a great thing when used correctly and priced accordingly. Extending the life of a good games is never a bad thing but locking away content is poor business practice. The important thing you have to remind yourself of here is these companies need to justify spending more time on a shipped product and some companies will abuse the current market and lock content away for dlc so they get a piece of the action too, hopefully this will change for the better but we have to continue to show them that we don't like being taken advantage of and the best way to do that is with our wallets.
- Ok this is where I don't agree at all. I was around when Capcom kept iterating and releasing a version of SFII every 4 months and it was bad but that isn't really whats going on now. Capcom so far have put out updated versions of their games with significant changes and additions where the individual additions as DLC alone would far surpass the cost of the new, mind you discounted, disc. This hasn't got out of hand yet and with SSFIV:AE they update was small enough for DLC and Disc. I'll gladly put down 40bucks every year for this when COD players do that for map packs in the same amount of time not to mention it sucks when they trickle it out slowly. The Dlc costume thing is annoying and I do agree on that point but its not necessary to the experience so I don't care that much.

You dont go to a fighting game to play with your self.Good point, but Soul Calibur has a decent story mode. So did Mortal Kombat. Maybe its not the best but at least it adds longevity.
I actually wish some care would be put into a narrative. Doesn't need to be as deep as MK but at least better produced intro/outro video. I didn't care for the downgrade in that regard between SFIV and SSFIV not to mention no way to replay them.
