Why video games are addicted?

Sometimes video games are just harmless fun. But sometimes they can become a dangerous obsession.
Marathon sessions that last all night. Intense desire to complete the challenge and character to reach the next level. Blisters on thumbs that can last for days. For many fans of video games, these are well-known experiences. For others, they are symptoms of obsession that borders with addiction.
What is in video games that is causing such an obsession? Doctor Nicholas David Bowman studied the role of video games in society and claims that they are
relatively safe and accessible forms of entertainment. Moreover, they are easy to learn, easier than basketball, for example, which requires a higher level of learned physical abilities.
So for all the more fun is to be good at Tony Hawk than being bad at basketball,or you can be some cool fearless soldier in some action games, but it is so different in the real life.
Video games are also an economical choice. You can buy the game for $ 50 and transported yourself in another world where you will be for hundreds of hours. For the same money you can go to Disneyland and get just a day of fun.
But perhaps the more important factor is the value that games provide to the players, that is the challenge. Video games are a modern version of chess. One thing that connects people is that everyone wants to feel capable, autonomous and want to feel connected with other people around them. Video games can not provide the third, but they are really good at the ability and autonomy.
Bowman says that this is one reason why games like World of Warcraft are so dependent. The game is a challenge, lets you feel like you're good at something. Autonomous is because you are doing everything you want in it. It is a social society that allows you to exist with other social factors.
But is it possible for fun to turn into something serious and dangerous? Can a dependent game to become a real addiction?
Video game addiction is a psychological disorder from the present which becomes more and more diagnostic. Doctor Soroja Bacus is a psychiatrist in Los Angeles that specializes in addictions. She says that science is starting to understand why some individuals become addicted to playing. Just like gambling, video gaming increases the levels of dopamine in the brain, causing the physical manifestation of pleasure. This, combined with the psychological part of the "escape from reality" causes similar behavior as any substance addicts.
Lisa Bahar is a psychologist who recommended taking measures if a person neglects the necessary tasks and physical socializing. On the other hand, if your child plays video games for eight hours on Saturday, perhaps it is because it is just a child and has nothing else funny to do.
