I'm still having a difficult time accepting this is real. It seems like an awful nightmare.

I'm fighting back tears right now after seeing the comments from fans and the rest of the crew. Such a sad day. My condolences to his wife, family, friends, and the staff at Giant Bomb and CBS.

Unbelievable.

I don't know if I can pick just one so I'll just list some disappointments:

GTA IV - Rockstar built such an impressive world here. The programming that went into making all those systems work together was also very impressive. Unfortunately, it just wasn't that fun to play. I tried to like it but the missions just felt boring. I've never finished the game despite getting it on two platforms, the 360 and the PC.

RAGE - I was looking forward to this game for so long. Then it came out. Unfortunately the game suffered from all kinds of technical issues on my PC despite having a more than capable computer. The gameplay wasn't all that satisfying and the controls just didn't feel "right." For some reason I really liked the card game you can play at the different bars. :P I still haven't finished this game.

Mass Effect 2 - This game was mostly fun to play but it was taken in a direction that I didn't care for. It's hard to explain what it was exactly that I didn't like but it just felt all over the place in terms of it's direction. And that last boss, WTF were they thinking?!

I'm sure there have been others but that's all I can think of at the moment.

EDIT - Crysis 2 is another one. Beautiful game, just not very interesting to play. I think the visuals is the only reason I got through that game.

Nope. The only time I went to a midnight release was for the launch of the 360. I sat in my car till the store opened, waited in line for 10-15 mins, got my 360, then promptly went home to hook it up and play.

Interesting read. I agree with you about the Quick Looks. I'd like a little bit more preparation for the QLs. I feel like they miss out on highlighting interesting parts of the game because it's only the first or second time they've jumped into the game and they're not that familiar with it. Even though it's a Quick Look I would still like for it to be an informative one, and most of the time it is. Some of the QLs are a bit boring cause they're fumbling through menus trying to figure stuff out.

It also does seem that they focus a lot on the negatives of some games to an excessive degree even though they claim to like the game. I know they don't want to BS their viewers about the negative aspects of a game but sometimes it seems excessive. Maybe the guys are so tired of having to play the same derivative stuff over and over again, for example. Perhaps their fatigue of this generation is showing through. I don't know.

I've been having problems like this too. Very frustrating.

Atheist. I was raised in a household with an atheist father and a Catholic mother. Long story short, we're all atheist now.

I've taken a break from Skyrim for a long time now. I just got to a point where it all felt so overwhelming and I didn't even want to bother with the story or another f'ing dungeon. I'm 74 hours in. I'm sure I'll get back into it at some point.

Oh, come on guys. Los Angeles isn't that bad. Sure, the traffic is terrible and there are some areas you don't want to get lost in but there is also a lot of fun to be had there.

E3 was f'ing insane the years I went. I can't imagine trying to get any work done there. Good luck Giant Bomb crew!
