Well this is happening to a lot of people including me. Putting it on the HDD helps some but to most it does nothing. Go on Bungie.net and go into the ODST forums. The topic there has been going since the game cam out. It happens to people with old 360s, new 360s, no updates, with updates, and is basically happening to anyone. Everyone on that thread have no idea what is causing this but for a few people different things worked. Check it out.

It is a problem. Go on Bungie.net>Halo3 ODST Forums and in there should be a 38+ page thread about this. I have the same issue. All my games work except this. Cant get into the first mission. Also people with new and old Xboxs are having this issue. It freaking wild man.

My Halo ODST disc goes unreadable too before the first mission like you guys and I downloaded it to my HDD like you guys and same thing. Could something be wrong with ODST?

I know right? Your right but can anyone help me on what is going on? I dought I can get it to RROD when they told me it has all that Jasper chipset stuff in it.

Well here is a little back story. I would install NBA 2K9 to my HDD and while playing the game, when on my HDD, I would get the message disc unreadable. This was in May. But I would re-download it and it worked fine. Then it happened with my Fight Night Round 4 in June but I re-downloaded it and it worked fine. Then when I got Madden it did the same thing but my Madden is very scratched and it will still give me the message no matter how many  times I download it.
 
 Recently I have had freezing problems with my Xbox 360 ever since I moved into my dorm room in college. I call Xbox support and told them I would freeze on Xbox LIVE when playing games like Gears 2 and Halo Wars but not on games like CoD 4 and Halo 3. He told me that the dorm has firewalls on some ports, he gave me a list of six ports, and that when playing games which require a lot of bandwidth and/or when lagging a lot my Xbox would freeze. This seemed true cause when I played Gear when no one was on the internet it worked fine. 
 
Then when I got Halo 3 ODST it gave me a disk unreadable right away before the first mission, and whenever I start a match I would get the message. My disc does have some smudes on it that I can't get off and I plan on going to get a new disc today and try it. 
 
Anyways after reading this novel I wrote can anyone tell me if all my problems are disc drive, just scratched games, inernet issues, or something? I am so confused cause I dont want to send my Xbox in and get it fixed for $100 just to get aother refurbished one and I dont want to invest into an arcade right away. PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE!!!

I believe Ed Reed should also be 99, but Sanders is a very good safety and he also deserves that 99.
