I feel it's a great time to go backwards and go back to old games but I realize I may be a very small minority that has this inkling. These are games that are before my time really but something in my loins yearns to explore and pillage their untapped lands and caverns.

GOG currently having a mega massive sale on pretty much everything. The game coffers are beyond stuffed, like a juicy rump in a pair of booty shorts.

This has been really interesting to watch as I get my lowly classic gaming channel off the ground (somewhat lazily). I decided to just un-monetize all of my LPs for the fact that I hate ads and I'll never getting enough views to really go viral or whatever so why not just make it more convenient for the viewers who do care to watch them. I'm just going to focus on making content and not thinking about "oh god when can I get da views so i make pewdiepie millionz!!!". Sometimes you just have to do stuff for free because you have a passion for it and it's a learning opportunity.

Anyway, I'm not trying to be a hipster ...then again wouldn't a hipster say that he/she wasn't a hipster? I've had games like Might and Magic 6, Arcanum, etc in my GOG download list for months and months and months and I've yearned to visit those worlds, with the new consoles coming out and just seeming to be higher fidelity versions of the same old same old it just seems like the perfect time to go back.

While everyone else was itching to get the Xbone and PS4 this Black Friday I decided to forego them and instead made a killing on deals from GOG. Got a bunch of Tex Murphy adventure games, some random adventure games and something crazy looking called Realms of the Haunting. It's honestly been super fun to just let go of the new stuff and go back and try to get an appreciation for the old stuff and the "classics". I figure maybe in a few years or so when/if I've had enough I can buy one of the new consoles and have plenty to play at that point with hopefully patched bugs etc lol. Anyone else feel that way?

This one is really tough even though I voted for New Vegas. I played 3 like 4 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it and don't remember not liking the writing. However, I played New Vegas last year in December or so and thoroughly enjoyed it but was going through a rough time in my life (I honestly wanted to kill myself because I was wondering what the hell I was doing with my life and my mom also broke her ankle and had no health insurance so a shitty time for us) and it provided much needed "soothing" so I'm partial too it unfortunately. I do kind of like the humor and stuff more in New Vegas and more wild west type of setting but both games were amazing honestly, say whatever you will about bugs there are really no other companies making these types of games.

I've started up a playthrough of Anachronox and will probably do another at the same time of Phantasmagoria 2 or something like that. Something shorter lol. It's been fun so far doing this and just getting a feel for playing and talking at the same time. I don't have a gimmick folks, a schtick or whatever, just a modern day gamer on the cusp of a new console gen deciding to go BACK instead of forward you know. I've been wanting to play these older games for a while now so this felt a right as time as any. I'm not really sure if I will be monetizing videos or even if I SHOULD, even though it went through for the Anachronox videos, I just don't know the rights to doing Let's Plays of older games and copyright issues etc etc.

I've found a way to capture those dosbox running games with OBS AND capture my voice relatively somewhat simple so that's awesome, thanks for the suggestions on that program.

LOL yeah that Vita/PSP stuff was fun but not something I realized I wanted to do in the long run. It was a great learning experience though. I have a personal vlog channel that I'm definitely keeping and doing for as long as I can. Just talking about random chit on my mind. Still want to do something with gaming but trying to find "it" you know.
