Certain periods of Metallica are simply incredible (basically up till the Black Album, plus I really love Death Magnetic), but when they got shitty they got really shitty.
It's really hard to take this guy seriously when he spends a fair amount of time bitching about the "7-9 scale" in games reviewing (and maybe he's right about that one), seemingly has very little positive to say about the game, gives an average of about 2.5 out of 5 in the three displayed metrics, and then gives the game an 8 point fucking 8.
Been playing for a couple of hours, and I'm really enjoying myself. Finished some missions, bought some guns, explored the galaxy, shot some pirates up, etc. The look and sound of jumping between systems is really fucking cool, and makes it feel like you really are jumping massive distances. I also was totally unready for coming out of the jump with a huge star right the fuck in front of you and I still nearly shit myself nearly every time I do it. Regular faster than light travel is cool too, but I go flying past my destination almost every time.
