As I'm sure you are all aware Popcap's new game, Plants vs. Zombies is absolutely wonderful.  For me I instantly new I would buy it first of all because it was popcap, 2nd zombies.  That's just an instant buy for me.  Although I new it would probably be a quality game, I was somewhat surprised at how great this game actually is.  Plants vs. Zombies is personally my favorite "casual" game.  I've already sunken tons of time into it, and it's really great to play with WoW during down time.  The minigames and survival mode aftter adventure just add a whole lot of replay value to the game and make it a little more complex.  I'm very much enjoying the game.   Another thing, the writing is brilliantly hillarious for a game that has hardly any.  The almanac and crazy dave are just great.  Plants vs. Zombies is absolutely brilliant and no question you should buy this for the low price point.

Not much new stuff going on for me in gaming.  I've been continuing to get my mobile gaming out of GTA: China Town Wars which is excellent.  The hinges on my ds lite actually kind of broke today, so I guess I'll be buying a dsi sometime soon.  I've continued to get deeper into WoW.  Getting into big raids and stuff.  It's really great.  I never got into raiding until this expansion and I'm loving it.  Haven't been to Ulduar yet but I look forward to it.  Also been playing the occasional Company of Heroes now n' then with the new expansion for my rts fix.  Will always love that game.  Can't even play oldschool rts's anymore, it's kinda sad, CoH just ruined them for me.  Also I got all Fallout 3 dlc.  Haven't dived in yet, but I look forward to it.  I'm starting fresh btw so it may be awhile.  And always Left 4 Dead of course.  I'm enjoying the new survival mode in that, and it's hella hard.

There is just too much to talk about today.  The new intergration of Achievements on Giantbomb, which is brilliant.  And games I'm looking forward to, which I'm not going to go into right now.  The season finale of lost.  Anyway I'm going to leave it here.  I think I've blogged on long enough.  Also I'm running 25 man naxx at the moment . . .

I need to do it more.
Haven't made a blog post since, let me see . . . January 8th.
Well I don't know if I can recall all my gaming since then.  Well yesterday I beat Prince of Persia after having to completely start over due to a game ending bug, where Elika refused to move or do anything other than save me when I jumped off thing, couldn't activate the plates though.  I overall enjoyed the experience.  It was a nice chill game, I enjoyed the dialog too and the relationship evolution between the prince and Elika.

Let's see what else.  Well I'm playing Empire Total War.  Absolutely amazing game.  I love the total war games so my opinion may be somewhat biased.  I was somewhat shocked at how well Empire worked.  I was somewhat skeptical of the 18th century time period, but it works out very well and adds some freshness to the combat.

Also I've been playing some Dawn of War 2.  This is a also a great game.  I found that the levels in the campaign felt like a dungeon in an MMO.  It offers quite a unique single player experience; however, the multiplayer, although it is enjoyable, doesn't quite live up to it's spiritual predecessor, Company of Heroes, which, in my opinion, is the best multiplayer RTS around. (yes, even better than starcraft)

I think I got Red Alert 3 somewhere within my nonblogging period.  I actually very much disliked it.  I find that I can no longer play traditional RTSs do to Company of Heroes.  It's quite sad, I was a great fan of the old Red Alerts and C&C series.  Oh well.

Still playing constant Company of Heroes and Left 4 Dead.  Also I'm taking a break from WoW.

Out of Game:

Well first of all the Out of the Game podcast.  This is a new podcast that includes Shawn Elliott, Jeff Green, N'gai Croal, Robert Ahley, and Luke Smith.  A great cast!  It mostly consist of off topic discussion, but of course games are often involved considering the employment and hobies of the cast.  It is a biweekly podcast.  Highly reccommed that you go get.

Also saw Watchmen.  Loved it.  Pretty much all I have to say.  I don't think it could have been much better, and Rorschach was perfectly casted.  Jackie Earle Haley's performance was to if not exceeding the performance of the Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight.  Amazing!

Also I kinda go into comics.  I was never much of a comic person.  Watchmen actually got me into it.  First comic book I have even touched.  Now I'm reading the Walking Dead series (on book 2) and V for Vendetta.  I'm very pleased to have found this new interest.  Also I've been driving for a while.  Got a car and stuff.  I also have a Black Mesa parking permit.  Haha, I'm such a geek.  Oh well, I love it.

Back from my performance in London for the New Years Day Parade there.  It was an enjoyable experience, I had a lot of fun with friends and we saw pretty much everything there is to see there, back to school though. *sigh*
Anyway while in London I purchased both Fable 2 and Gears 2 for a total of around $80.  So far I've enjoyed Gears 2, it's more gears, and it's better.  Fable 2 was ok, a good game, but not great.  Too short as well, and not the good kind of short like portal.  I was doing plenty of side stuff and I thought it would take me forever to finish, but it was beaten in 2 days after returning home.  2 days!  This is between playing WoW, Gears 2, and other daily activities.  Really?  Overall an ok experience.  Only worth a rental.  I need to play more gears to give more of a response on that.  All I can say now is cutting giant heart arteries as room fills with blood, and then theres more hearts and more blood.  All very pleasing.  Also world of warcraft has been great as usual, really enjoying the expansion.  Also I've managed to get some company of heroes rounds in with friends.  Fun, fun, fun.  Anyway I'll leave you now with a cinquain and concrete poem I wrote for english class.  Just so you know, I'm not an artsy guy so these are kinda crap.  Hope you enjoy!

So you've probably heard the news, 1up has been taken over by UGO.  Lots of people have been fired and just a strange list of people too.  Why fire these people???  All that worked at 1up were great but some that they fired were the best of the best.  Anyway good luck to those fired.  I'll miss the inclusion of those fired on the 1up podcasts, the best podcasts on the internet (no offense to the bombcast, also one of my favorites).  We will miss all of your contributions to the 1up network.
