I use a Wahl trimmer to keep my awful beard from looking too too awful, but it's definitely not a shaver. You can't get a close shave with it. If I need to shave I use a disposable razor.

@kmfrob: I've lived in suburbs in the US pretty much my whole life. I'm about a 30 drive from downtown Madison, Wisconsin, but there's a bar about a block and a half from my house, and there are a few restaurants nearby too. I only occasionally feel the need to go into the city.

Suburbs that were built around a metro center specifically as commuter communities can be rather bland and not very friendly to people who don't drive, but suburbs that were just small towns until a bigger city grew out to border them can be perfectly nice places in their own right.

I also have trouble finding shoes that fit, but that's because I'm a man who wears a 7.5 size shoe despite being 5'9".

One thing I'll say is that for narrowish shoes, the length from heel to arch is just as important as the length from heel to toe. It doesn't help to have a longer shoe if that puts the ball of your foot in the narrower arch area of the shoe. For a long time I thought the shoes I was wearing were too small because they pinched my toes, but they were actually too long.

That's probably not your problem, but it's worth thinking about.

I used to play Counter Strike, so I'm used to playing games with fake gun names that are obvious stand-ins for real guns.

@bollard: That confused me at first, because I assumed checkmarks were for things I had already gotten.

More on the "maybe you're not Big Boss" stuff: later at motherbase I managed to kill a soldier by throwing him off of a tower. A mission failed screen came up and Ocelot says "Maybe you're not the Big Boss we'd all hoped you'd be"

*shrug*

To be fair, they often referred to it as "the title of Big Boss" in Peace Walker, so they could be speaking symbolically, the way you might say, "He wasn't the President we all hoped he would be," even if you are talking about an actual president.

@plisskin: Honestly, what bothered me was that you could see his whole asscrack, but he seemed like a Ken doll down there. That was more distracting to me than seeing his junk hanging down would have been.

I have a couple of my uncle's old leather jackets from his riding days that don't fit him anymore, but I don't think I'll ever get on a motorcycle myself. I barely trust myself on a bicycle.

I'm due to get a new phone soon, but I'm going to wait until I hear official word on this. Fitting in my Pipboy is now maybe the number 2 criterion for my next phone.

Well, that's a bummer. As far as i can remember, repair mechanics in fallout are the best I've seen in a video game. They added value for duplicate weapons/armors, also pushed me for trying different weapons through the game.

I can be fine with removing the repair skill but removing the mechanics altogether was not cool.

It was definitely a neat idea, but it was annoying when you couldn't repair uncommon weapons since you'd already used up all your spares.

I imagine duplicates will still have value in Fallout 4, since you can probably disassemble them for parts or materials.
