@SecondPersonShooter: 3/10. Had to read to the end to figure out if it was an actual troll.

I consider that a 10/10. Also, really? This is the least-subtle troll I have ever tried to do

@nail1080:

Thank you for giving me the accurate research, rest assured the inaccuracies of the piece will be revised in the next published edition.

I'm disappointed in the location and what appears to be the lead character. Rockstar have usually been known for taking risks, so having another American dream "I want to settle down" story, in the most popular location of the entire series, is a very safe move. Something a little different would have been nice.

Other than that though, I'm pretty excited. Los Santos was a great location and if the hints of the countryside mean there's going to be more to explore outside of the city.. and possibly even multiple cities again, then fantastic.

When has Rockstar ever done this? He's a family man. He mentions he has kids. When has this shit been done?

Rockstar games are always about young douche-bags who want to be the best criminals in town. It's never been about "the American dream".

Someone didn't play GTA4 at all.

I picked Batman just because I think it's the finest game I've played all year, but for longevity's sake Skyrim seems like a good choice as well

I don't see too inherently bad about playing it on casual, its the lying that makes it so messed up. Transparency is always the best policy when it comes to things like these.

Playing a game on casual is a viable way to play a game, there's no bylaw saying that X game should has to be reviewed on Y difficulty for the review to be credible, and locking up part of your game for those playing on a lower difficulty doesn't seem like the best design choice.

Just don't fucking lie about it, it makes the review lose it's credibility and makes you look like a snake.

I don't know, I think as a reviewer it's kind of their job to judge all aspects of the game. The fact that he did not even know that there was more to the game just shows a lot of ignorance honestly, which is multiplied tenfold by the fact he hid his ignorance instead of fessing up to the bullshit

Although the intelligent response would be to say yes they should get rid of them, the truth is I don't think anyone actually reads every single review the site posts. The ratings give you a solid indication of the level of quality found in the game. Especially using the five-point scale, I think you can accurately portray what your impression of the game is when you are only using five areas of categorization. I think they have the best score-rating system possible honestly, there's way less drama over scores most of the time.

The one thing i figured out really embarrassingly late was that if you hold down R1 instead of just tap it you can hang from the ledges you grapple instead of automatically vaulting over them.

I guess now that the speculation has built up over months and months, I can put an end to all of these rumors.

I started writing this blog fully intending to talk about why I didn't like Eternal Sonata (and I legitimately don't), but once I started writing I just kind of decided I wanted to fuck with people.

But if anyone legitimately wants to talk about how Eternal Sonata is a terribly overrated game, I am down.

Did anyone feel weird every time they really got into Thrashball? Cos it seems like there is ONE player of the sport in the world, and it is Augustus Cole.

Like-- everyone in the Gears universe who likes Thrashball is a giant Cole Train fan, and never mentions anyone else or any other team. It makes it really obvious that nobody on the Epic team is a football fan, and it got pretty funny.

What? How did you jump to that conclusion??

Yeah that's a weird conclusion to jump to. This is a game about a war on another planet, you can't expect them to flesh out an entire sports league which really doesn't have any major relevance to anything that's happening.

Did anyone else notice that the subtitles omit all of the harsh swear words, such as "fuck" and "shit" even if they are said in dialogue, but for some reason around Act 4 the game just forgets that it was doing that and gives the full dialogue in subtitles.

Just something I noticed that I thought was odd, I don't really understand why they would cut the words out in the first place.

I feel it's worth reposting in here to point out that they fixed the article,k and Ryan is listed as an "editor" instead of a "blogger".

However they have still neglected to list him as "narc"
