Hey guys!

The first Beta Event has been announced for Friday the 27th of April!

After some discussion in the main guild thread, a point was raised regarding how we'll contact one another in this month's Beta. It is quite likely (although not certain) that we won't be able to create an in-game guild for the beta events, and as such, none of us wants to friend-invite every single member of the guild.

So, as a solution to this, we're establishing a beta roster. This would be a database of times where those-who-want-to can post when they'll be available.

I have created a public spreadsheet for us to use, just pop in your GB username, character name (if you know it already) and online / offline time at the end of the list for each day. We'll use filter afterwards to organise everything by online time.

• Instructions are at the top of the sheet
• All times are in US PST, ie, Los Angeles time (use http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html if you're having problems converting)
• Don't be a jerk

ED: It may take a while for you guys to be added to the front page, but that's because Robbiemac has exams right now, so bare with us.

@Chavtheworld: For a while there it helped because people messing with the sheets only bothered with the front one, so I had a measure of content protection by obfuscating the second and third days.

Now that the shine has worn off anyway, I may combine the three into one page later tonight.

@zyn: Understood.

I won't say anything one way or another, but at the moment the site itself doesn't have a forums and the link on the left panel actually takes you here.

You would, however, have to sign up to shivtr in order to join the site's guild list (as far as I understand). This is done relatively seamlessly when you hit the join guild button.

After @Matthew pointed it out to us, I've gotten in contact with @AhmadMetallic about the GiantBomb mumble server he admins and he helpfully agreed to set up a Guild Wars 2 channel on it in light of the coming beta events.

For those unaware, I've quoted the information on the server below;

:: Giant Bomb Voice Server ::
We have a 100-slot Mumble voice chat server for Giant Bomb, you're welcome to hop on, invite your friends, and use the many game-specific channels to converse as you play or simply chit chat with other giant bombers!
The server is available 24/7 and it's open for everyone. Don't hesitate to use it.
I'm the administrator of the voice server, so if you're having any issues, you can ask here or PM me, or talk to me on Steam.

1. Download the Mumble client here and install it.
2. Open the program, you will get a window asking you to connect to a server. Click "Add New...", and type in the following:

• Label: Giant Bomb
• Address: ny.eoreality.net
• Port: 64747
• Username: [Your username].

3. Click OK and then Connect. When you get prompted for a certificate failure , just click Yes. You will now be able to connect.
4. Right click on your name when you're on the server and click "Register." This will assure that no one else will use that name.

So, for the foreseeable future, assuming there are no outright problems with it, we'll be using this mumble server for guild events and general chat. If our guild grows too large (which I somewhat doubt, to be honest), then we will spring for a dedicated server. Until then, I think this is a great solution - so thanks again to both mat and ahmad.

In the guild thread (page 21), @Beaudacious posted his cool submission for what a guild website would be like if we ran one. Both myself and @Dark_Lord_Spam have had a look at it and we both think it's a cool idea to have one place to quickly reference what the guild is up to, who's in it and so on.

So now I'm turning it to you guys to see what you think and, in your opinion, what the positives and negatives would be if we use it. We have our own ideas on the matter, but I would love to get more opinions and won't colour yours with my own.

So. Some points to think on would be;

• What are your gut reactions?
• If we had a guild website, would you use it?
• What would you add or subtract from what is there?
• What would you like to see on the front page? (the rules are placeholder)
