I agree, that it would of course be cool if Publishers just went "Hey, it's perfectly fine you are doing this. Better this than games getting lost forever.", but I just don't see that happening. Money (even only potential money for stupidly old stuff) always wins out in the end for a company.
Also finally makes a statement about what GB thinks of ROMs (some people always go nuts, when you guys play them and don't specifically call out that they are in fact ROMs).
Main slimes that aren't blue? I'm out. Also now I really want to play Monster Rancher again.
Oh, and that whole apple chips comment was just ridiculous. 2016 Dan still has much to learn, but at least he has his heart in the right place. Now go eat some figs, @danryckert.
I just simply try to replay games I really love every few years, basically in a sort of rotation, since I can't just replay everything all the time while still playing new releases too obviously.
I also sometimes try to advocate them to friends and strangers alike (when appropriate of course), because I feel that everyone can get something out of playing them, even if they don't fall head over heels for every game like I did.
There are some (FF7, A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Symphony of the Night, Fallout 1+2) I know by heart and can "speedrun" to at least a degree, while still getting 100% (or 200.6%).
As a kid there were more of those games (e.g: Super Star Wars or Donkey Kong Country), because I quiet simply had fewer games to play, so I just kept playing the ones I like over and over, often trying to complete them faster than a friend would. Most of those are games I still like and know a lot about, but don't actually adore any more (and potentially never truly did), though.
Overall I was always someone that likes to really take their time with games and go for 100% completion over just trying to rush through as fast as possible.
Loved this playthrough, even though in this episode especially I don't agree with the choices at all (they of course are understandable).
Personally I told David the truth and would have saved Chloe, because like Austin said, it's what I think Max would have done. (It's also what I would do in a similar situation, saving the one you love over other people, which I guess makes me a selfish but honest person, or something like that.)
I also really dislike that the game/the devs really try to push you into choosing the sacrifice Chloe ending (Just look at that damn, preaching diner scene. "Bohoo please don't kill me","You are a bad person, Max") and mostly because the other ending just seems unfinished.
There was also some nice discussion to be had this time around in chat, which was cool. (Of course dozens of people screaming spoilers on top of their lungs wasn't great, but oh well, it's still the chat.)
