I've put maybe ten hours into Skyrim so far and I'm enjoying it immensely. However, I've completed my visit to High Hrothgar and want to diverge from the main quest for a while. I've been trekking around, marking places on my maps on my way to visit the various Holds of Skyrim -- and I'm a little disappointed. So far, they resemble each other immensely and I haven't been given any particularly captivating quests.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a truly awesome hold to visit or a really awesome quest-line for my mage-warrior to follow? I know there must be great content in the huge world, but right now I find myself skimming the too-similar surface.

Markarth is pretty different from your run-of-the-mill towns... Don't really know much else to tell you.

Yo, Crushing difficulty in U2 and U3 were not that bad compared to Drake's Fortune. That game on Crushing was BEAST (infuriating). Yeah, I never got that feeling in U2 and U3 on the Crushing setting...

It may sound weird, but I use both pretty equally as of recent. However, overall I am a FF guy. Chrome does seem a bit faster though, so that is why recently I have been using it just as much as FF.

@SpaceInsomniac: You were saying also that you can do some serious damage with a bow when sneaking. Yes, I can one shot A LOT of enemies, but not all. However, that is connected with sneak. Destruction magic is not sneaky, so you can't get that bonus. If I am shooting someone with arrows and it's not a sneak attack, I still have to dump a few arrows into the enemy. I don't think its OP by any means, and I think if Destruction magic was OP, the combat could get boring fast. I'm at 75 currently on destruction, and I've been having a blast (sorry) with it combined with my archery. Also, my one hand is starting to get strong, so my combat experience is staying pretty fresh. BTW, what difficulty you playing on?

@Daveydave: You CAN always hang on to your perks if you're not sure, and see what you end of liking the most. Then, start dumping the points into what you want to get the strongest. Currently, I can one-shot so many people with my bow cuz mine has damage increased 5/5 on the perk tree. Also, crit hits, and I went up the sneak tree on the right side just to get the damage bonuses (no other perks in Sneak tree even though it is at 100, lol). Recently started getting into destruction magic, so that is at about 75 right now, and I can OWN some stuff with it (Also my conjuration is at 98 right now, so summoning a Dremora Lord is LEGIT). However, the bow is still my most powerful ally. Just found what I liked and stuck with it.

You have to put points into health for the damage to go up. Also use the other magic skills. With Alteration you learn paralyze at expert and with conjuration you have summoned beasts who can take agro for you while you blast away.

wait, wait. Is that true? More health gives me more damage output? WHAT!!? ALL THIS TIME, I have never heard that!!

Congratulations sir, and well done. I have yet to beat this game (I'm 24). Impossible to beat when I was a kid. Still remains to this day the only other game I've played that I could not beat (Other game is Battle Toads... F that game! Lol. Good times).

Are you serious!!? IGN always puts the negatives when showing the final score, but not this time?? Because the producer of the game is there, maybe?
