I hope this is based around being a contractor and not an actual soldier for a country.

Also, the beard thing...it's common for security operators that are in the middle east to grow big beards to help blend in and because it garners respect from the locals, and to be honest the dude pictured here looks like a badass.

That movie follows American troops, and the opening scene takes place at Arlington National Cemetery in DC. Of course there's gonna be an American flag. "
I don't know where you get Arlington from. It's actually the American cemetery in Colleville-sur-mer, Normandy. It's basically just up the hill from Omaha beach. The point is, there's barely any indication that there were Brits, Irish and French soldiers on those beaches too. A bit OT, but I just wanted to point that out. I have no comments on the game. "

THE MOVIE IS ABOUT A DUDE NAMED PRIVATE RYAN, WHO NEEDS SAVING.

This dude happens to be an American.

Hence, it's a movie about American soldiers.

Made by American filmmakers.

For America.

You're welcome (europe) for fixing your mess.

No, I'm the one vehemently arguing that they are in no way related beyond the fact they're third person and both come on optical discs lmao

The game 's entire art style is based around using "concept art" as textures and a direct interpretation thereof for everything else.

To say that the Xbox version wins simply because it has more effects...is asinine.

The bloom and ambient occlusion effects add nothing to the game but some flash, (I would bet) purely to distract the eye from the over-compressed, down-mixed textures they're forced to use.

The game's superior platform, say what you will about interface quibbles (just because it shares interface elements with the consoles doesn't mean the game wasn't built for the pc first and adapted later, btw, interface stuff like that is some of the last stuff developed after the core tech), is the PC, followed by  the PS3 and then the Xbox360.

It is disappointing that the framerates are so low in the console versions, I'm inclined to believe that that is a failure in optimization on the part of the developers.

(Played it on PC and PS3)

So, I'd venture a guess that 90%+ of the users on this site are console-only, so almost all comments on this story are going to be bullshit.

Just saying.
