I got Fallout 3 from Gamefly last Thursday and been playing it ever since.  I also bought MotorStorm: Pacific Rift on Thursday.  Here's my impressions of both games.

Fallout 3

HUD is Nice and simple =D

The beginning is kind of like Oblivion in a broad kind of way.  Your in this sort-of prologue of the game where your skills are set and you escape to the open world.  Instead of escaping the sewers into a colorful world.  In Fallout 3 you escape a vault into a post-nuclear wasteland.  Personally I think the game is a lot better then Oblivion.  First off.  I'm the type of person who hates playing games that take place in the past (Oblivion for example) but I love games that take place in the future (Fallout 3, Mass Effect, etc).  That be said I do prefer Fallout 3 to Oblivion.  I like the combat system and V.A.T.S. is pretty useful.  I'm about 13 hours in and as far as karma goes I'm at "Good".  However after I bombed one of the towns (Megaton) I had "Very Evil" karma for the first 5 hours of the game.

In the end I think its a great game so far and definitely exceeds Oblivion IMO.  Just for the reason its easier to follow quests and a lot more ADD friendlier =P.  Great game and I think everyone who likes RPGs should buy it.  NAO!!!!!

MotorStorm: Pacific Rift

I was at Circuit City talking to some guy about working there and I went to the video game section and saw MotorStorm Pacific Rift.  So I bought it.  $60 =P.

Anyways.  The game is good.  Still has those great graphics the first one had.  Has a better online setup (Matchmaking yay!) and 12 players online multiplayer just like the first one.  There are 16 tracks on the disc which is a major improvement over the first game.  The single player mode is called "Festival" which is where you just play tracks and you gain points for each level to advance (gaining vehicles and extras with each level) which I think is a great idea for single player.

As far as multiplayer goes it was pretty good.  No lag so far.  The matchmaking also works really well.  Of course the trophies are not really hard to get but they are harder then some other PS3 games like Burnout Paradise (so somewhere in the middle).  My only complaint about the game is that the handling is a little loose but it just makes you more reliant on the E-Brake (which you probably never used in the first game).  I wouldn't exactly call it a negative but it does take some time to get use to.  Overall I think its a great game and definitely worth a buy or at least a rent for people who like off-road racing games.

Other Non-Gaming/Gaming Stuff =/

Like I said in my Motorstorm: PR impressions I was at Circuit City talking to one of my friends to try and get a job there since they were hiring.  I filled out a application on their site on Saturday and ended up getting a call yesterday for a interview on the 7th (that was quick lol).  Well me being a idiot I thought they ment yesterday and not the seventh.  So I called them and tried to reschedule for Monday (which I thought would be today but turns out its the 8th).  I got to wait for a call but if all goes well I'll be working at Circuit City as a Customer Service Rep =O.  Also I talked to the manager he said he doesn't think the store will close (since the news report said that certain Circuit City stores are closing) he said no stores in the area will be closing, so I'm good =D.

College wise.  This week should be pretty simple (thank god, Gears 2 on Friday too =D).  My english teacher canceled all classes this week so instead we just see her for a mini-conference on our papers.  I still have to do my research paper (5 pages) due Wednesday and haven't started yet.  Besides that I don't really have to do much.  Friday I'm not doing anything at all except going to Circuit City at 10 AM to get Gears of War 2 and playing it all day.  =P
