Operation FlashPoint: Red River --> Operation Flashpoint: Red River

Flashpoint is simply one word, the P should not be capitalized

Terribly sorry if this has been answered many times before, but I'm curious if anyone else has had issues where their Xbox360 does not update achievements (on giantbomb's tracker) everyday, I double checked all my privacy settings and added the account with no problems. Not sure what I'm missing.

Thanks

I've been playing a lot of shooters this year (Deus Ex, Gears of War 3, MW3, Battlefield 3 etc.) and they all seem to have one thing in common; they take themselves (a bit too) seriously, so my first experiences with Goldeneye have actually been pretty refreshing. It's a game that seems to just keep its focus on being fun, and well paced and does a good job of bringing the classic FPS feel into the modern day with some of the shooting mechanics from Call of Duty.

I'd definitely recommend the game to someone looking for something light and fun, as I've just really enjoyed the game so far.

@AuthenticM: It's easy to knock, but as a game that was developed in the early 2000's and released in 02 in Japan, and 03 in NA I'd say it was pretty damn good. Of course though, now that games like WoW have come along, and the fact that its 8 years old now are going to contribute to it not being as good. I dont find anything clunky about the interface though, its very simple everything is streamlined into two option menus and one battle menu.

Welcome to MMO's, this is the case when you first install ANY MMO that has been around a long while.

I think they merged some servers relatively recently so you should be good regardless.

I think you'll find this ends up being a very good experience, as its still one of the highest quality PS2 games you can find. There are some negative points, I don't think you'll find the characters develop quite as much as you'd like and the game definitely forces you to sink time into it to keep your level where it needs to be (in order to successfully defeat bosses).

But the combat, voice acting, graphics, and music are all very very good.

So you get the game 3 days early, then have to wait 3 days to be able to play online cause the only other people with the game will be people who have subscribed to this (ie: very small user base).
