Favourite Games

Here is a list of my favourite games.
1. Diablo II (including Diablo II: Lord of Destruction): Easily my favourite game. I've spent so much time playing it throughout the years, and it still holds up relatively well. Needless to say, I am extremely excited for Diablo III.
2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (including Shivering Isles): Another great RPG. This game seems to be either loved or hated by most people, which I find unfortunate. While maybe not always the most entertaining game, the writing and the setting always keeps me coming back to level up a new character.
3. Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (including Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne): The only RTS into which I really invested a lot of hours. With a great, well-written campaign, fun multiplayer, and easy-to-use map editor/creator, there's so much that has continued to keep me engaged and wanting to continue playing.
4. World of Warcraft (including all expansion packs): After investing huge amounts of time into this game since its beta, this game deserves its place on my list of favourites. After being in the same guild for over five years now, having a supporting, fun community of people to return to after periods of being burnt out is always great.
5. Assassin's Creed II: I really enjoyed this game. While the first had so many flaws, it's interesting story and strange gameplay mechanics were continued and really improved upon in its sequel. As I have yet to play Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, this game is currently my favourite of the series, but that may change soon.
6. Mass Effect 2: While I throroughly enjoyed the first Mass Effect, the second proved to have much better gameplay and a more compelling story. Despite the great improvements on the original, I was somewhat disappointed by the reduction of the RPG elements in the sequel.
7. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (including Tribunal and Bloodmoon): Perhaps one of the greatest RPGs ever. I was unfortunate to play it after it had started to become a little dated, which dampened my experience with it, despite my desire to overlook such factors and play it impartially. With such an original, almost alien world and a great story, this game has always intrigued me. Unfortunately, the combat in the game definitely leaves something to be desired.
8. Fallout 3 (including various DLC packs): Being such a fan of Bethesda's style of RPG, this game immediately fascinated me. With quirky dark humour set over a very bleak, dirty, and violent world, this game held my attention for quite some time.
9. Bioshock: The writing in this game is some of the best around. While not set in a world quite as expansive as The Elder Scrolls or Warcraft, this game has a very rich, original atmosphere to it without requiring any sequels to do so (athough it did get one direct sequel, unfortunately). Between Rapture, Sander Cohen, and Andrew Ryan, Bioshock is game with more creativity and ingenuity than it knows what to do with it.
10. Red Dead Redemption: Perhaps the greatest game featuring the Western genre ever. Featuring great characters, engaging gameplay, interesting (and often chaotic) multiplayer, and a good story, Rockstar managed to take what was great from their GTA series and make it work even better in the American West.
