Holy crap, I take a short break from listening to podcasts and someone has taken the "Brad is leaving" joke to a whole new level.

I was with Gamespot when Gerstman left and came here and have loved the content. Best of luck to all three of the guys. Vinny and I started having kids around the same time and his stories of being a gamer dad have really hit home to me over the years. I will miss them on the site. As it sounds like there isn't a huge plan right now I wish them the best on their next adventure. And best of luck to Gerstman as well. This has to be an emotional time for them all.

Ok Nintendo, I'll try to give you my money one more time, but if you don't make enough of these I can't be held responsible for doing something dumb. In actuality, legally speaking, I totally can be held responsible. But it still makes me want to if the supply isn't there.

This is the Run Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers. Time it with the re-releases of all the old Disney show games. Not sure if that'd work cause it's been 25+ years since I played that, but sounded like Dan had fond thoughts of it on the Beastcast.

Good read. I did the same thing except, made the shot from the little rooftop behind the safe house. The location where Busey and Cole met and talked was the perfect time and I was hidden from all of the guards and onlookers by the tree that is right there.

One shot and then sauntered over to the car in front of the villa. No where near as a good tense story as hanging off the church steeple. :)

Congratulations Vinny. You guys will be amazing and yeah it will be hard work but we all know this isn't your first rodeo. Do what's best for your amazing wife and child. Giantbomb of course will always have your back.

I chose the destroy ending because that was the only one that meant you weren't giving into the reapers trying to indoctrinate you through out the game. (while I understand the indoctrination theory has been widely discarded by many and maybe debunked by the DLC, it made extreme sense to me at the time.) I am now taking off my tin foil conspiracy theory hat.

The fact that we all still feel the ending was weak is unfortunate.

Quick! Someone make a Daily Dark Souls artwork. Something with Vinny wielding a sword wearing a shirt that says Vin Co. If there is artwork they have to do it. :)

• You could pick up a lightning spear in sen's fortress. It's a good damage dealer right after the drake sword.
• Getting Solaire the NPC or a human helper would be best. Solaire can take a beating but really doesn't help do as much damage as another player will.
• Soul Spears picked up from either of the 2 Mage NPCs work good for Smough and Ornstein
• Fight them one at a time as which ever one you don't kill first gets all his health back after you kill the first.
• Upgrade your armor but don't wear such heavy armor as you can't do at least a medium roll.
• Get good at switching from one handing a weapon with your shield to two handing it to strike and then get out of range and back to single handing to use your shield for protection. You'll do more damage with each strike and as long as you are rolling medium you should be able to dodge their attacks.
• I always had the grass crest shield because of it's stamina building affects. You could go down and get that. It will help you to attack more and of course recover faster. It's in dark root forest next to a cliff near the bon fire at the bottom.
• At this point in the game you could also go into the catacombs with a divine weapon and take on pinwheel to be able to get the rite of kindling. Which will allow you to carry up to 15 estus flasks.
• You should also at this point have at least +1 estus flasks but could also pick up the firekeepers spirit in blight town and in anor londo to get +3 estus flasks. To heal more with each flask.

After looking at that list I realize I have spent an embarrassingly large amount of time with this game. :) If you can't beat them yet go after some of these other pieces of equipment and then come back. You'll get them eventually.
