My hopes that this will ever see release outside of Japan are slim, but I have my fingers crossed for now. It would be neat to play the 1st ever pure RPG One Piece game, even if it is based during the Romance Dawn Arc back when it is just Luffy and Roronoa Zoro.

Namco Bandai Games Announces One Piece Romance Dawn: Bōken no Yoake, a New One Piece RPG for the PSP

With the success of One Piece: Pirate Warriors on the PS3, Namco Bandai Games has announced that they will be developing the first ever One Piece RPG on the PSP. One Piece Romance Dawn: Bōken no Yoake will take place during the early days of the One Piece franchise, back when only Monkey D. Luffy sailed the seas of East Blue in the beginning of his quest to become the Pirate King. This will cover Luffy's first voyage and the events that revolve around the crooked Captain Morgan, the Marines under his control, and the infamous Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro.
