I would recommend BioShock Infinitie out of that list, it's truly amazing and it keeps me coming back. I thought Tomb Raider and Far Cry 3 were good too, but I felt they were a bit disappointing.
Xcom Enemy Unknown is great, also FF7, FF8, FF9, and I think FFX are on PC too. They may be old but they're still great games, and you can use graphic mods to make them look better.
I haven't played my 360 in a LONG time, mainly because I've had too many issues with it (I have the original 20 GB model), so the future of it will probably just sit there. Not saying I hate the system, it has some great games, it's just not really worth the hassle to try and fix it just to have it break down again a week or so later.
But I'm also more of a Sony fan so I'm going to keep my PS3 when I get a PS4, which I hear will be able to stream PS3 (as well as PS2,PS1) games.
I'm a Jew so I don't really care about this, but for many Christians this is supposed to be a significant moment. Apparently it's one of the signs that the anti-christ will be coming soon. I don't know what to make of that.
As for child abuse alligations, I don't think the Pope is resigning because of that. It no doubt does happen within the Catholic church (which could be easily solved if they allowed priests go marry women) but there isn't any evidence that the Pope was involved with it. I think he's just ill.
By no means is MGS 2 my favorite game in the series or anything like that, but it's not a bad game by any means. I don't understand the hate that the game get's, it was still very fun. Yes Raiden may seem like a bit of a pansy compared to Snake, but he's still a decent character to me.
Welcome to Giant Bomb. It's actually one of the more friendly communities on the internet, most people here are respectful, only downside is that Giant Bomb it's self tends to be slow about news and reviews. So it's best to also follow one of the bigger sites from time to time to keep up with the latest in the industry, such as IGN. But this is just from my perspective.
I too came here from a different site, GameSpot. I left because System Wars took over that entire community, and System Wars (and the people in it) are stupid and rude.
Science Fiction because it's more based in "reality", if that makes sense. Sure many of the things will be over exaggerated, but some of it can be real, such as alien lifeforms or having flying cars, all of this is certainly possible in the future. One of the most realistic things in the Star Wars films (and many other sci-fi movies) is the use of Credits as the sole form of currency, this will happen one day.
I have mixed feelings on this, in terms of the principle I don't see anything wrong with it. If people want to pay for micro transactions then so be it, if it offers something of value to consumers and it's worth paying for than I'm fine. But I can see this being easily abused to the point where they will make you pay just to unlock the next level.
