So i went down to disney with all the band peoples for a week! It was basicaly band + 50 of your close friends. I tried to ignore all the "drama" which i did quite well. met new people in the choir since they came too.. o and first time there.. ever and it was sweet.........

So 2010 started of pretty good for games. So far i have gotten MAG, Dantes Inferno, White Knight Chronicles.. so yeah you know how its gone :P also i just got flOw since it was free and flower cause it was half off. i got red fraction guerrilla because of the sweet code i got from darksiders. and i just ordered bioshock 1 and bioshock 2 from amazon cause they have a nice bundle. 
 
other than games 2010 hasnt started the greatest. gf broke up with me, some personal family stuff.., single again on V-day and had a fight with a friend... so yep..

So somehow unlike every other year i can now write x/xx/10 cause usualy it takes about 5 months... anyways more about games. I got Darksiders and Assassins creed 2. 2 GREAT games to start the new year with. First darksiders a great game that as everyone else says takes from zelda and others but that doesnt stop its awesomness and something more people should pick up.  ac2 is even better at first not liking the first that much then liking the first then getting the 2nd.. yeah its GREAT. (and i wont be writing reviews on em.. like normal :P)
 
Games that are coming up are MAG, White knight chronicles, dark void (after the demo i still got hope), star ocean 4, and dantes inferno. im probably only getting 2 most likely (that being MAG and WKC) and star ocean, dark void easy b-day games (by then they will be 30$ i bet..) and dante might be one of those games i will be getting in a buy 2 get 1 free deal..

where i live we are FINALY getting a best buy! after having 0 computer stores for......... forever we have one now. also im probaby going to try and get a job there but now i can also start using this awesome computer for games (are gamestop even only has l4d and other valve games i want different things than that... like cyrostasis)

So I've been enjoying the holidays of course. As for games i got:
 Skate 2- So far my favorite game. Its amazing just like the first skate!
Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time: Just like the rest of the ratchet games its amazing. 
Batman AA- Still havent opened it to play yet.. I'm going to wait for when i have more time  and finished other games but still think its going to be amazing. 
 
Also like to add i got a iPod Touch and its freaking sweet and i really don't want  to go on with that :P 
 
And if anyone really wants to know Uncharted 2 is my GOTY.

Yep so i havent made a blog for a LONGGGGG time... So where to start? Well i did marching band this year and it was pretty fun (met a couple ladies ;) ).  As for games tho it drained me of playing time and now im really able to start playing again. Now what games have a added to my collection since last? 
Well:

• Wolfenstein- I didn't really buy it but my dad did thinking "o i remember that from X years ago" and bought it and its really... not that good.. i'll probably trade it in at disk replay next year for some $ for GOOD games.
• Demons souls- When it was announced last year i was one of the few that actualy had hope for it being great and once it released everyone finaly noticed it for how awesome it really was.. and it even exceeded my expectations.
• Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2- I wanted to try out a game like this (well more than just a demo) to see if i liked it.. and i did and now I'm defiantly going to start keeping my eye out for games like this (like GoW, Darksiders, and Dantes Inferno (and yes i know people say GoW and NG are different but they seem the same to me))
  
• Tekken 6- Pretty kickass game. no literaly you kick ass..... anyway this is my first tekken game and its pretty sweet. Defiantly better than Soul Caliber, Blaz Blue AND AND street fighter 4. yep Tekken 6=best fighting game this gen.
  
• Need for Speed Shift- Last NFS i played was underground it was great fun the same as shift but they are a lil different. Shift seems to be a cross of arcade racing and then simulator.. thats NOT a bad thing tho. when i tried GT5P  i felt like it was to real-ish.. and video games should really be... arcade. yes it was fun but arcade style is the way of system games tho (but thats not going to stop me from buying GT5)
  
  now for the 3 best games I've gotten since last!
• Modern Warfare 2- COD4 great mp (my first mp game that i really played) and well it was amazing. going for its (true) sequal and they made it even better! The story for both is pretty.... meh.. all over the place too. COD4's story was worse but MW2's is just a little better. I am going to play through it again but only for the trophies.. Now for the real stuff.. the MP and its great. They added a ton more than i thought and took out some stuff too (making it harder to get last stand and mardydom makes it feel so much better) the maps are good but cod4's are better probably just cause i know them upside down, backwards, and blindfolded.
  
• Borderlands- Even tho i just got this yesturday (black friday). i first saw borderlands way back in gameinformer and thought man this is going to rock and that was even before i had a PS3 i was still a wii only owner (a sad one at that) but luckily i got a PS3 about a year later.. now about the game i have had tons of fun with it already and defiantly one of the possible GOTY's. Even tho I'm level 10 soldier (my main) and level 9 on my Hunter (for co-op/split-screen) and my friend is level 9 berserker (for co-op/split-screen). So I'm still not that far but doesn't stop me from knowing I'm going to be playing it for a long long time!
  
  Saved the best for last!
• Uncharted 2:Among Thieves- First one was amazing. First PS3 game and it was a amazingly epic one! 2 years later Naughty Dog released Uncharted 2 which somehow vastly is improved over uncharted 1. The fighting has been amped up (even tho getting the Brutal combos are easier.. and only use 1  button). Platforming is more fluid and has better views. Puzzles are a little bit easier (but you still got a book that shows you exactly what to do.) Then most important the story got BETTER! Along with all of this they still had time to add 2 mp modes! Co-op (which sadly no one plays but in the beta it was great!) then 6 vs. 6 mp. Both are amazing. I truly don't know how Naughty Dog top themselves over and over again but they do and i hope they continue!
  
  Now for future purchases Assassins Creed 2 and GoW collection are set for next year sometime. R&C crack in time, Batman, and Skate 2 are for Christmas (hopefully). Next years releases are going to be packed too tho with Star Ocean 4, Final Fantasy 13, White Knight Chronicles, GoW3, 3d dot hero, and Alpha Protocol. Its going to be packed also with some games that may be hidden til release or some rumored games come true (Resistance 3 and Killzone 3). All i know is my wallet is going to cry ;)
  

Yep so summer is going by really fast this year. I went to portland, seattle, and victoria canada. Also later on i went to Cedar Point. I have started drivers ed which is really  really boring and i started marching band which is taking up my summer..

As for games this summer i got infamous and call of juarez, and blazblue. My favorite is defiantly infamous. Its truly a amazing game. I also started up uncharted again to get the plat and i forgot how amazing the game is. Still is beautiful to look at and plays amazingly. Its got me hyped again for uncharted 2 which i also got the beta for and it was really fun and i thought online wouldnt work that well but i was wrong. :P

So yep that pretty much sums up my summer. Next game im getting is Wolfenstain.

Uncharted Drakes Fortune came out in fall 2007 and got really good reviews for having a amazing single player mode. Recently Naughty Dog announced that Uncharted 2 will have 10 player competitive battles and 3 player co-op but for a heavily story based game can it be a online game too? With the beta invite I got to see.

Competitive impressions:

Starting up a game in uncharted 2 is easy and sometimes hard. It varies from a game starting in 4 seconds to about 1-2 mins. Once your in the game you get to choose from 2 maps to play in called Plaza and Ruins map. Everyone in the game votes for whichever one they want.

Before hand it would be smart to choose your "perks" you get 2 they go like more ammo in 1 clip, better accuracy with long guns or short guns etc. You also get to choose your own character. You can choose one of the heros like drake or sully and for the other side different types of soilders but all of the characters are equal. The run same speed, same amount of health, and all can use any gun.

Now when the game starts up (after a very brief loading screen) you of coarse start with your team with the opponite on the other side. Near you will be guns that you can pick up. You start with a ak47 and a normal pistol. Around you will be a shotgun, FAL, gernades, and more ak47's. you can grab any of them really fast and be on your way. Some guns will be hidden threw out the level like the uzie, desert eagle, chain gun, or sniper rifle and all of these guns are perfectly balanced. like the chain gun is yes very powerful and has lots of ammo but you cant hide behind cover, jump, and you are extremly slow. The FAL shoots out 3 bullets at a time but also when you zoom in you get a red dot cross hair which helps you out a lot.

The leveling up system is that for doing different things you get $ (xp). Like getting a 5 kill streak you get about 1000~ dollars also winning the match getting kills all of course help level you up. So its a pretty basic system.

Map Plaza.
This map is of a city going through its cival war. its wrecked and walls are blown up, cars, and some sandbags. All of them can be used for cover which is needed for this game. You could choose to be running around on foot hidding and facing off guys. or climb up buildings to attack from above but anytime in the level and you hear a helicopter coming make sure to find cover because it shoots at both teams and its deadly.

Map Ruins.
This map of course is in a old city of ruins (duh) which is a lot of the time where your at in the 1st game.

Now with all of this going on you may think "well is there any lag?". The answer is no. This game runs beautifuly. It has upgraded graphics from the first, added more gameplay elements, and online it runs without any lag with 10 players.

co-op impressions:

Well as said above you can do 3 man co-op. You get to play as Drake, sully, or Chloe. Each person seems to have a different part. When i got to play i was drake and when something needed to be climbed i had the honers while sully lifted me up and chloe covered if any enemies showed up. The levels we play online arn't related at all to the single player campagn. You maybe in similar looking areas but the mission and what you do is different. Each level is about 20 mins long so its a decent amount of time but hopfully you get with people that do do team work or you could all fail the mission. The levels definatly have challenge to them but most of it is that your continualy getting surrounded by enemies and your team having to fight them off til you can go to the next area where you will be surrounded but its still fun and it may sound repetitive but thats cause its in text and your not playing it..


All in all its a great beta and online game. For a game in the first one surrounded by story the 2nd one did a kick ass job of getting online 10 players and co-op matches right.  I know when it comes out this fall that both sp and mp will be excellent.

Well i again haven't been on giantbomb but now cause we just got a new computer, its a HP and i got it spore for it and love it :) after i got to space stage i got left 4 dead and im loving it too just it doesnt run that well it seems.  my specs are

i am enjoying it so far and no this isnt a gaming computer its a family computer that im playing a couple games on (as above spore and l4d and soon crysis hopefully).

other than that really is the killzone 2 demo ROCKS. i had to switch controls tho, the default felt weird. great visuals, gameplay, and cover system. and it will be a day 1 buy for me.

if you haven't checked the ps3 top posters you will notice a slight change :) i took sentry's long held 2nd slot and now it has me.

also in other news your going down liquidprince. im going to take 1st

well these are my awards for goty etc. (these will mainly be ps3 games since i didnt get many wii or ds games)

most under rated game
choices: dark sector, the world ends with you, and valkyria chronicles.
Winner:the world ends with you-it got good reviews but people never mention it as a great game. its one of the best games and sure shot for goty.
best shooter
choices are: call of duty waw, resistance 2, and battlefield bad company
Winner: resistance 2-a very good shooter with good story, coop, and a killer online. definatly worthy of best shooter
best cover system
choices are: dark sector, mgs4, or rainbow 6 vegas 2
Winner: dark sector- mgs4 and r6v2 cover systems did not help as much in the game as dark sector did. dark sector's cover system protected you well.
best rpg
choices are: disgaea 3, world ends with you, and valkayria chronicles
Winner: the world ends with you-a different type of rpg that did everything very good.
best new ip
choices are: valkayria chronicles, mirrors edge, little big planet, and world ends with you
Winner: little big planet-definatly a very good game and will have people playing for a long time.
best sequal
choices are: mgs4, call of duty waw, and gta4
Winner:mgs4- none of the other sequals this year could not improve as much as mgs4 did.
best racer
choices are: burnout paradise, mario kart wii, and gt5p
Winner: mario kart wii- its mario kart theres no other racer that could beat out mk wii
best visuals
choices are: valkayria chronicles, mgs4, gta4, and prince of persia
Winner: mgs4- a stunning game with its visuals but i do love valkayria chronicles art style alot

Worst game of the year
Grand theft auto 4-completly destroyed what made gta games fun and threw it out the window. realism in gta4 was epic failure and just not fun AT ALL.
