Sounds like he's making a power move, saw you were being needy (or interpreted it that way from your many texts) and now he's blowing you off to look blase and keep you on the hook. I'm sure he's into you.
@SethPhotopoulos: He said you won't be banned for playing a legit copy that you bought from a store that broke street date. I can't see how they would be able to tell the difference.
