Holy shit, it's terrifying to think that those comments belong to people that actually exist in the real world. I really need to break my fascination with stuff like this. I spent way too long reading that "Public Shaming" tumblr yesterday, which already put me in a bad mood, and now these idiots.
I need a plug-in that changes every website's comment section to "Derp"s so I can stop myself from giving in to curiosity.
Never mind any of that. Once a person passes judgment on another for enjoying a video game on a device that's different from theirs, they're no longer to be taken seriously anyway. Specifics don't matter. If someone gets worked up because Jimmy Bumslap in Greenbow, Alabama is playing a game on his console or PC instead of his PC or console, they have missed the entire point of the medium and are just using it as a feeble effort to feel superiority over somebody.
2-4 usually, and around 10 during crazy link-following sessions that happen more often than is healthy. I only have 2GB of RAM (I know, I know... I'm piecemealing a new machine as I type), so I can't go TOO wild.
Slow internet, so I'll still keep downloads to a minimum. At about an hour a gig, with PS4 games no doubt being massive, no thank you. Besides, I like a physical collection.
What's wrong with just saying that the game is going for a more serious angle?
Ask Capcom - they're the ones who specifically called out going for that audience.
My bad, I thought those were McShea's words. That kind of changes everything, then. Doesn't mean the game will be bad, it still looks fun from what I could see through the brown haze, but that's kind of ridiculous. We already have PAH-LENTY of zombie games that aim for that market.
Beyond anything, though, the biggest concern I have for DR3 is the difficulty. The entire gameplay loop of Dead Rising relies on the game being nearly impossible on the first run, then easier and easier (while still being rather hard) as you level up, discover new paths and strategies, and restart. If they're going to go for mass market appeal, then the backbone of the game goes right out the window.
