Microsoft defining their DRM policies, then changing them 2 weeks later doesn't go a long way to sell me a new walled garden with a $500 price of admission. I was surprised to read this today, but if anything, Microsoft has proved over the last 9 years that they will change whatever they please with the console whether I want it or not, whether it's the DRM policy (The 360's been phoning home for years to try to catch pirates), the user interface (no more blades), or the kinect (so glad I didn't buy that thing), while charging for services I can get for free somewhere else. In hindsight, I ended up paying for Live for about 4 years longer than I really should have, and I'm not going to pay them money so they can do me like that again, just based on their flimsy vision of a new Xbox (vision may change in 2 weeks).

@gaspower: Yes, the characters are great. I liked "New York Giraffe" a couple weeks ago who was heading up a street team for his Uncle Enzo's pizza joint.

@aegon: Thanks for posting that Stark History video! I liked the breakdown of The First Men, The Children of the Forest and The Andals. I've read about it before but since it's made-up history it can be quite forgettable. She made a good presentation, complete with fancy music.

I like the @redweddingtears twitter, great stuff! People talking about boycotting the show LOL. I knew it was coming and it was pretty hard to watch (especially the wolf kill), but the final wedding is one of my favorite events in the books closely following what becomes of Tyrion. I hope they squeeze both into the season finale, but I wouldn't be surprised if they just tease joffrey's wedding for next season. If they really want to get people rabid for another season they will end season 3 on a cliffhanger in the middle of the royal wedding.

In case you missed it, there was a live stream with some Warframe developers this afternoon where they discussed Update 8. They showed off new weapons, talked about player trading and player-built dojos and where Warframe might go in the future. Check out the archived version here.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the clan features they talked about and I thought it was kind of awesome seeing the directors of a video game in front of a camera talking about this stuff even before the game is out of beta.

Server's back up now. The PlayWarframe twitter said they were upgrading hardware earlier today.

I'm really digging this game. It feels a lot like Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, but better in a lot of ways. I especially like the galaxy map that functions as a matchmaking tool. There are still some bugs, but I'm mostly impressed with how it is doing Triple-A free to play instead of Triple-A + $60 price + microtransactions.

@reuski: You can quit out of the tutorial to the main menu to skip it and start a new region. I started a new region like this on West Europe 4 last night when the other servers were full or busy. I have a feeling I won't be playing much this weekend at this rate though.
