Should the devs have been fired? That's not for me to say as I've never worked with them. My main problem with this whole thing is the gaming media's coverage. A lot have completely misrepresented what happened and are just spoon feeding people Jessica's narrative of sexism when none of this ever involved gender. The only person to bring it up was her and it's sad that the media at large just went with this because it suits their agenda or something, instead of just reporting what happened; She was vile to a perfectly nice commenter on tweeter for no reason and got fired.

Most of the coverage just stinks of Fox News and it's terrible.

Andromeda is good and I don't get people still shitting on it. Sure there were some dodgy faces and animations at launch but they've been improved. I really like the story and the writing is totally fine at least on par with the other games. Madness.

@vinny@austin@alex The big seperated part went faster because it had more mass. The smaller section had less mass and slowed down faster and blew up behind you. Also, the lines and nodes freaking out are just rounding errors caused by a lack of precision. That should hopefully get better with the move to 64 bit.

You were also still using RCS to aid manoeuvring which changes your speed / position and causes the orbits to shift slightly.

@gerrid: The array of liquid tanks are more efficient than SRB's but as we see here it's harder to design properly. Liquid rockets also have the bonus of more control. One thing about these arrays is that they're pretty unrealistic. It's currently not feasible to pump fuel around a real rocket like they are although I believe scientist/engineers are working on a system.

The gangs problem isn't efficiency, however, it's a lack of understanding of basic physics and @vinny isn't aware of all the controls/aids he can use. For instance, just turning on SAS won't give you a good gravity turn because it will resist the natural pull of gravity to keep the rocket straight so you should tilt the rocket a little bit to get the turn going and then use the "point to prograde" function so the rocket follows the prograde marker or turn it manually.

These continue to be fun though! :D

There are a lot of "proper" games that support VR right now whether or not they're games you're actually interested in. I don't think lack of content is an actual problem. It certainly hasn't been for my DK2.
