@feliciano182: Of course they won't talk about it, because placing the blame on the mentally ill is dangerous. Any politician that tries will be labeled as an unfeeling monster who is persecuting the disabled. So they go after guns and games instead because it makes them look like good, moral protectors of family safety regardless of if they manage to pass laws and bans or not.

I'd rather not see gun owners and video gamers go at eachother's throats. We should accept that Adam Lanza committed a monstrous act and is fully to blame for what happened at Sandy Hook. Just because the coward shot himself doesn't mean that somebody or something else needs to be punished in his stead.

Garshasp has met its match!

Congrats, North Korea. You've developed a game that's on par with D-grade SNES games.

Let's be fair, it looks at least as good as a crappy Playstation 1 title.

I'm sure the next X-Box and Playstation will be capable, next-generation machines regardless of whether they can run all the bells and whistles on UE4 or not. The core consumer would punish them if they tried to sell outdated hardware as new and there's nothing they could create that would be as popular as the Wii remote.

Anybody who has any soft spot in their hearts for Dragon Ball Z, Fist of the North Star or Gurren Lagann owes it to themselves to try out Asura's Wrath. The gameplay is sorta lacking compared to other action games, but if you fall in love with the characters and the style, you won't really mind.

Never got around to playing Binary Domain. The plot seemed mildly interesting but the gameplay just looked like ho-hum third person shooting. You want a real example of a Japan-flavored TPS, get Vanquish!

I feel like I'm too invested in Microsoft's eco-system to painlessly defect to Sony. Too many friends on X-Box Live, too many downloaded games and a controller that I vastly prefer over the DualShock. On the other hand, I resent the Kinect, Microsoft's non-commitment to exclusive core titles outside of Gears, Halo, Forza and Fable, the unreliability of the early consoles and having to pay a subscription to play online and use apps that are free to access elsewhere. If the Playstation 4 is markedly more powerful than a 720 and still has a competitive price point (and it could if Sony focuses on the base console and leaves out the casual party gimmick camera/touchscreen controller/waggle wand) then I'd have to think long and hard about my purchasing choice. I wouldn't get both because I feel like they're too similar to justify such a thing (Gears vs. Uncharted, Halo vs. Killzone, Forza vs. Gran Turismo, the death of third party exclusives etc.)

I sold my Wii in anticipation of buying a Wii U, and I still own my Wii collection so I guess it's ultimately a matter of time before I buy one of those. The Wii U just needs games that I actually want to play.

I saw everbody should enjoy used games to the fullest, because in a decade or so all the new games will be digital downloads and/or locked onto cloud servers making the debate over used games and Gamestop pointless.

(Used game boxes are the worst though. How people can treat a $60 product so horribly is beyond me.)

Just like I care more about the commercials during the Super Bowl more than the actual football game, I care more about the trailers during the VGAs than the actual awards and this year I was disappointed. There were no new games shown this year besides Phantom Pain, and that's just Metal Gear Ground Zeroes/V/whatever in disguise.

Nearing the end of Halo 4, playing through Forza Horizon, Zone of the Enders HD, Pokemon Black 2 and New Super Mario Bros. 2, haven't started Transformers Fall of Cybertron, Assassin's Creed 2 and 3, Splinter Cell Conviction and Bastion. Finished the main campaigns/content of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Black Ops 2, Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed and Dead or Alive 5 but of course there's always getting 100% completion and the multiplayer modes.

Compared to how bad I've let my backlogs get before, I'd say I'm running a pretty tight ship right now.

I think Super Mario World was the first videogame I had ever beaten.

......wait, no. Super Mario Land and Mega Man 2 on Gameboy came first. :p

I held a Wii U controller for the first time while out shopping today. My hands didn't burst into flames upon contact, so there's that to be thankful for. It felt awkward holding the controller with it being so wide compared to other gamepads, but I could probably get used to that in time. The screen on the controller looked nice, but it won't amount to much besides a bunch of inventory screens, maps and maybe an occasional surprise here and there. What was great about the two screens of the DS and 3DS were that the screens were right next to one another, so it was easy to pull back and see both screens at the same time. With Wii U, it it feels like it'll be distracting to switch between your TV and the controller. ZombiU uses this to the game's full advantage but how many other games will just be annoying with these mechanics? My biggest gripe though was the placement of the buttons below the right stick, I just know that's going to get annoying quickly for long gaming sessions and the pro controller provides no respite, having the same layout.

I just think Nintendo is running low on ideas. They don't want to compete in a hardware/graphics war with Microsoft and Sony because those two can and will always outspend Nintendo on that front. Nintendo chose to use finesse over strength and caught lightning in a bottle twice with the Nintendo DS and the Wii but the 3DS and the Wii U aren't nearly as exciting.

....Yet I'll still get one the moment they announce a new F-Zero or Star Fox. C'est la vie!
