2. Modern Warfare 2
I was sure this was going to be my GotY early, but that goes to SFIV. MW2 is pretty much what everyone wanted...except for those of us who played for a zillion hours. The game is more streamlined which makes business sense, but I would have still liked to have seen more for the crowd that is going to be playing this game when next X-mas rolls around.

3. Left 4 Dead 2
The game that virtually did everything right. Valve listened to it's fans and added what they wanted, and then balanced them. The new modes, especially scavenge mode, are exciting and a more straightforward multiplayer mode. This game is on the backburners for me personally, but this game will keep me coming back to play.

4. Dragon Age: Origins
An RPG. Check. Fantasy setting. Check. Ok, you almost got me. A 40+ hour, hardcore fantasy RPG, made by the guys who made KotOR and Mass Effect and said they were inspired to make it more like Baldur's Gate. Check. Ok, I'm in. This game rocks.

5. Halo 3: ODST
A good addition to the Halo Franchise. The campaign left something to desire, but the additional multiplayer maps, Firefight mode, and millions of people playing made this a fun game.

6. Borderlands
Borderlands comes out of now where and makes me forget hygiene, family, health and friends. Give me some snacks, a six-pack of Dew, and an Xbox with Borderlands, and I am guaranteed a good time.
