If anything, this is one of the titles that could go against Uncharted 2. Brutal Legend is multi-plat, it's music oriented, it's got Jack Black and it's had a mad marketing campaign--bigger than Uncharted 2. Commercially speaking, Brutal Legends should be his best selling game. I wouldn't feel bad for the man.
@eroticfishcake: Yeah. The reviews is what brought me here in the first place but that other stuff I have yet to check out. Thanks for the heads up. Oh and my name actually comes from a Kirby character. But if KittyKibble is what you think, then go for it. lol
Sometimes there are developers who you may or may not favor but you may respect them. For example, Rockstar is a developer I respect but not necessarily like. The quality of games they put out is obvious and they're not cash cowing like Activision.
On that note, who is your most respected developer?
Mine are Ubsioft and Infinity Ward. Ubisoft because it is one of the biggest developers (and publishers) yet they keep a lot of their integrity. Ubisoft is trying to grow their business and make money of course but they go about it (at least it seems) in a much more "chivalrous" manner than EA or Activision. I also respect Infinity Ward simply because they are uber consistent. You wanna talk about a developer that does their best on every game and tries to do better on the next one, Infinity Ward is the first developer that pops in my mind.
I'm originally from Gamespot.com (actually GameFAQ's is where I started) but after there shoddy reviews lately (really noticed with NFS: Shift), I decided to shop around for better review sites. IGN never has been on my list and since I know some of these guys used to work at GS, I thought it'd be fitting for me to hop on over here.
I have stepped in front of a very big bomb, indeed.
