I think Ubi has a chance at making a good action flick here. Ubisoft seems to have learned a few things after making, the well made yet poorly received, Prince of Persia movie. Regardless, I'm a big fan of the franchise, so I'm really hoping they don't screw this up.

@SomeDeliCook: Funny thing is Kenny's BS is what ultimately made me take the supplies instead of argue it out. I'd spent the entire game trying to deal with him and after fighting for survival and losing a few party members in very traumatic ways, I was worn down. I didn't want to argue for once. I just wanted to move on. I rationalized it as the driver of that car was probably dead. It made me feel like an asshole - more so when I had to explain to Clementine why we were doing it. The writing in this game is so good. I've not really ever had a game challenge me in this way before. Finally, someone has player-driven narrative choices done the right way. Pretty great stuff.

Yeah, Kenny was pretty together in the first episode, but in episode two he seemed a little unhinged. I don't know if it is the family thing weighing on him or what, but man... I have a feeling that after what he did in the locked room that he'll be a new foil for players in future episodes.

I've started a list of games that I've finished over here on my profile page. I've got a list of last year's games as well. This year however, I've been writing some thoughts down on the games I finish as a little side project.

Right now I've started and need to finish:

  • Dragon's Dogma
  • Skyrim
  • Assassin's Creed: Revelations
  • WWE All-Stars
  • Darksiders
  • Alice: Madness Returns
  • Viva Pinata
  • Bulletstorm
  • Bastion
  • Civilization V (just... one... more... turn!)

And I've got a few others stacked up for later:

  • The Witcher 2
  • Max Payne 3
  • Bully: Scholarship Edition
  • Lollipop Chainsaw
  • The Amazing Spider-Man
  • Spec Ops: The Line
  • Enslaved
  • Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting.

Some fo you started playing games when I graduated from high school. Glad I'm not the only one feeling old around here. I started playing games in (I think) late 1984. I remember when Mom brought home a copy of Pac-Man and my first console. We lived in this really old family farm house that was difficult to heat due to an extremely harsh winter. We closed off most of the rooms and we all lived out of the living room for a while. I still remember late nights of sitting in the floor playing rounds of Pac-Man with my parents. I'm in my 30s now and I still play co-op games over Live with Dad. Borderlands 2 can't get here soon enough.

@Gizmo: First thing I thought of as well. Off topic, but I really thought that Falling Down was a great film until the try to cop out on why Douglas' character goes over the edge. Wish he could have just been a really pissed off dude.

Kevin Conroy is the only correct choice. That said I loved Adam West's Batman when I was a kid, but more for him than for it being true to Batman. Also, I've never really liked any of the movie versions of Batman that much. I think Bale is the best of them, but there's something about Nolan's take on Batman that just doesn't grab me.

Man I'm tired of the word entitled. I'm also tired of everyone freaking out about things not going exactly how they expect, in the exact time frame that they wanted. In general the negativity is a bummer. When people are constantly bickering it gets in the way and is generally written off as more noise. Real issues that could be brought up in a more constructive manner (retailer specific DLC for example) get tossed out with the dish water far too often.

Anyway... Episode 2 hits XBLA tomorrow and I'm pretty happy about that.

I look forward to ignoring the complaining about this new footage (should prove easier than ignoring the sexism debate). I'll also watch said ending on YouTube, because after finishing ME3 I have no desire to play it again.

Asylum Assignment in Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes was my last achievement.
