this is a video review of Sonic The Hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. Please comment on the video and let me know what you think. for the filming, I was forced yo record with my phone camera and hold the controller in the same hands which led to a few odd camera angles. I hope to find a way to fix that. So, let me know what you think. bye for now

umm, i'm currently working on a video review of Alan Wake at the moment. may take another day or two to finish up as I want to fully write out a script and get good gameplay and cinematics recorded from the game.I have the cinematics recorded. i just have to do the gameplay tomorrow, then spend the rest of the day editing it together.

as a gamer, i've gone through many game consoles and games, alot of which i have either lost or thrown away because i believed i would never play them again. oh, how i long for the days when i still had an N64,dreamcast, or SNES. ahh, the nostalgia. im getting a bit off topic, but i do regret some of the games or systems i've thrown away or lost because i truly want to play some of them right now. either that, or the game i owned is somewhat rare, a collector's item and it would sell for quite a bit of money. For example, i had the CD-I game Link:The Faces of Evil and i found it in my house around the year 2000 and since i was young, i thought oh "cd, let me play it on my computer" sadly, it did not work and i threw it away because i thought it was garbage. what a mistake. these cd-i zelda games sell for hundreds of dollars each. i will never live this down. this leads to the topic of discussion. what do you regret losing or throwing away as a gamer

the godfather has a metacritic of 100/100 and oftwn when movies come up, either the one of the godfather movies, or the entire trilogy are seen by movie snobs as "Best Thing Since Slived Bread" i have owned the godfather trilogy on blu-ray for over a year now, pushing 2. and only just now have i decided to watch it. i got through parts 1 and 2 and 55 minutes into part 3. horrible movies. they're all too long and very boring. the movies expect me to be emotionally connected to characters that i barely know. and it is so fake and outdated that it's a mystery that people still mention the godfather. i remember a scene in the first godfather where i believe sunny was his name beat up a guy for hurting his sister or something along the lines. the fight was so fake. he ovverreacted when he got punched and i was perfectly able to tell that each and every punch and kick was missing. they didn't even change the camera angle to at least hide it. i know i will get flamed, but damn is the godfather trilogy such an overrated movie aeries. they're not exactly terrible. mor like passable films

i know most people on these forums are excited about mafia 2. But I have a question. if you had to chose only one thing about mafia 2, which single feature or mechanic excites most about the game? Personally, I'm most excited about would either the story or the destructibility. from what I've seen and heard, the destructability and physics in mafia 2 will be very impressive

I myself am a firm believer that videogames can be much more than just games. they can be an art form. Games can have a much greater eeffect on you than movies or books. certain videogames and videogame series certainly rival or even best most movies. some of these include the Uncharted Series, Mass Effect Series, Alan Wake, the jak and daxter precursor trilogy(the original 3), the Metal Gear Solid series, Heavy Rain. I'm sure that I'm missing others. i'm just listing ones i remember off the top of my head(i have a terrible memory). Anyways,my point is that we have proof. We've seen that when a videogame does it's best, the storytelling is fantastic and have the potential to mature into something far more sophisticated than movies or books. The problem is, not many games actually excell at narrative and storytelling. It is a real shame. it seems today's average gamer is conflicted with ADD and must have constant killing with little or no story to keep them satisfied. the reason, i believe for most games to be lacking in story is to be faulted on today's stereotypical adrenaline junkie because they make up most of the market. Because of this, companies are afraid to invest in engaging stories in their games only to have people ignore them or dismiss the game and call it "ghey" or "boring". it's you ridiculous adrenaline junkies that are ruining the potential videogames have with storytelling by not making buying these fantastic games. i may not have been as articulate or clear as i could have been, but I hope Got my point across. Last thing:I usually prefer a game with a fantastic story over fantastic gameplay and a horrible story. Reason i'm not a big fan of the gears of war franchise. such generic characters and plot
