1. Saints Row: The Third
Probably one of the games I got hyped for the most in 2011. I pretty much got everything I was expecting and of course a little bit of disappointment but not enough to make me hate the game. While yes the second game had a lot more content this game is still way more polished than its predecessor (especially since I only played the lolPCrelease). I put the most hours into this game out of any back in 2011 and am considering replaying it. While yes the game is pretty "XD" sometimes it's still really fun especially if you have a co-op partner. |

2. Serious Sam 3: BFE
What were you expecting BF3 or some other generic war shooter in this spot? SS3 was the game the FPS genre has needed for a long time to finally put the fun back into FPS. I'm sorry but I can't stand "tactical shooting" or just generic war shooting. I need things to be fast paced, the ability to move and shoot, holding more than 2 weapons, and a health bar that doesn't regenerate and has actual health. SS3 fulfilled that wanting of a real FPS and not what these kids play these days. |

3. Sonic Generations
Sanic Revelations was the game the cool blue hedgehog has been needing for a long time now. To be honest, I was a little worried about this game considering how terrible Sonic 4 did. Sega pretty much cured that wanting of a good sonic game I've been needing for a couple of years now. While yes it was a little short, it's still got a lot of challenges to do as well as replay value. Sega if you're reading this please continue on this route I don't want to see that bullshit Sonic cycle again. |

4. Kirby's Return to Dream Land
A lot of people were like hurr rehashes to this game but I don't care. Kirby hasn't seen a true Kirby title in a while and this was the needed game for the series. To me this game was on the level of Kirby Super Star and didn't receive the respect it deserved. It was an easy game but haven't most kirby games been easy? Also, the fact that it had 4 player co-op was a great thing and isn't retarded like in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I'd seriously give it a shot if you haven't I mean it emulates perfectly so you have no excuse. |

5. Alice: Madness Returns
So I was going to put Portal 2 in this spot but decided nah. Don't get me wrong I loved Portal 2 but it didn't feel satisfying length wise. So, most people don't have this game in their top 5 of 2011 because they would most likely have Skyrim in this spot which I didn't find all that great. So, before you get mad and start greentexting please reread the description of this list, thanks. I don't really know what to say about this game except that its a great platformer and filled my head full of fucks many times. I guess go play it or something since most of you overlooked it. |
