Yesterday I spent a few hours with my brother trying to do simple things in unreal engine 4 - like animate static meshes and transition between two different music tracks (.wav format of course!).

It was frustrating, it wasn't as entertaining for him as I hoped, and things that I thought could never break - broke (or at least, I realized I didn't understand them...)

I guess it's just that wall you hit with any significant learning. I could walk away, or I could keep banging my head against it until one of us wins, or...I could ask someone who should know a question...

I feel like the funnest part of new skills is learning the first little bit, and then doing everything you can with that - going beyond that...it starts to feel like work....which I tend to easily drop...
