Dimensions recaptures enough of Geometry Wars' thrills to stand as the best new dual-joystick shooter in quite a while.
The little mushroom man finally gets his name on the marquee, and the result is a charming, unique, and puzzle-heavy adventure.
Nintendo's all-stars assemble once again, resulting in one of the best reasons to own a Wii U (and eight GameCube controllers).
Kinda hit in the feels during Patrick's segment. Fuck man
God damn. These are the best fucking videos
The 370z doesn't feel like my 370z. The whole driving system just doesn't feel... right. Maybe I'll get used to it. Also the fuel light doesn't turn on for some reason and it bugs the shit outta me.
TEAM PERSONA ROLL OUT
Still playing through DA1 then 2 again before jumping into 3. I've got the time
Hurrah for meeting my meager expectations! It seems to launch on most PCs! People aren't growing out of the ground! You don't fall through the geometry! Ubi is making slow strides towards function video games again. (This game looks alright if I wasn't busy with Valkyria Chronicles and GTA5 already)
2014, year of surprises and disappointments
I loved DA:O. DA2 was a good game with some problems. DA3 looks awesome, can't wait
Ocarina is the best Zelda game released (of those that I've played, most). I haven't played more of majora's more than like 20 min so I'll give this one its fair shot at least.
Man, those gun sounds are awful. That carbine Jeff uses in the campaign sounds tinny as fuuuck.
Also kinda weird that it's set in the future but lots of the guns already exist today.
I would pick this up in a Steam sale, but Activision never does those.
Who cares though? If it's a fun game, why does it matter that it's not a 1:1 sound ratio. I don't fire these guns in real life and I know this is a video game. I'm more interested in the fun factor, not the sound being pitch perfect.
I have never fired a gun in real life either and I think the sound is a huge part of what makes the core shooting feel great. Battlefield absolutely nails that, both sound and weightiness. It's hard to go back from that. I'll still have fun with the campaign but it's something they should do better.
Kinda no excuse for it not being better. Plenty of games do it better and this game has god knows what sort of budget. The sounds help so much, but some of the guns do sound decent at least.
